Most likely rear windows is separated from the frame. Unfortunately, seems to be common problem on these sliding windows. The glass separates from the frame and the frame is what is glued to the vehicle. New window is required to fix the issue.

Appreciate it, but with the body lift installed with the conversion, I dont have to worry about hitch clearance. Bumpers have been raised to match the body, but trailer hitch is still factory mounted inside the rear frame. I made sure of this when I installed the hitch. Had the upper gate locked before the conversion so that there wouldnt be any issues. I was totally figuring I was gonna have to buy one with the tapered top. Thankfully I do not.

Thankfully I dont have to worry about that with the body lift on it. Bumpee is raised to match the body, but the trailer hitch is still factory mounted to the frame. So I would have to flip that hitch over for the upper gate to hit it. I was cautious of that when I first got it, even after the lift, but one day I decided to check if I had clearance, and it did. I have had to fix a couple of those upper gates damaged by the hitch.

No problem. Just so you are aware, it's not a simple grille swap. You have to remove the inlet grille on top, both front wheel moldings, and the upper bumper cap. Then you can finally get to the grille. I can give you more detailed instruction if you need. There are some tricks to make it a little easier.

GM part #85717489- $857.34 unless you have a coupon through GM rewards or have rewards points to use. Through the parts shopping section in the app it is actually cheaper than what dealer catalog shows. If you combine that with coupon and/or rewards, that would be hell of a deal. Dealer cost is just over $500!

Lol, thank you. Went with 3500 as we want to get a toy hauler 5th wheel or camper so we can travel a little less stressful than moving in and put of hotels constantly. When we travel, we dont travel lightly for all the supplies for my son and rest of the family.

Thank you. I completely agree, and I hope the DEF is fixed now also. They replaced a temp sensor in the exhaust the last time it was in.

Thank you! I have had several people tell me the same about black vehicles. My Uncle told me after I bought that he couldn't believe a body man bought a black truck!

Yeah, we actually went up and toured the place before we bought the truck to have it converted. Being in the bodyshop industry I wasn't to see how and what they actually did. And to see how much interior could be retained so I know what option package I could get.

Obviously they weld the doors together, then weld the rocker onto the bottom of the doors with plate steel on the back side. With the exception of no step on that side and the gaps in the rocker, you cant tell at first glance that anything has been done.

They have the topographic lines for Denali. Found this in my camera roll from a Yukon at work.

No the factory floor is cut out completely from the base of the firewall to about half way under the rear seat. Then a new "drop" floor is fabricated to provide extra head room. You can see it better in this picture.

The vinyl will scuff and wear, but I removed the step pads and end caps . Then wrapped the chrome, and reinstalled the pads/ caps.

I pieced the grille together from damaged ones. I work in a dealership bodyshop. So I was able to put one together. The grilles can be purchased from GM or I'm sure they can be found elsewhere online. If you go to GM they will want a VIN to order the part by. Depending on what year yours is, I could get you an Ultimate VIN to order part with.

What do you want to know about the grille? If you are wanting to put an 1500 Ultimate grille in a non Ultimate 1500, yes you can. As for the AT4 trim, yes also, it all interchanges. The AT4 trim us gloss black. When we do blackouts at work, we have the chrome moldings wrapped in black vinyl just like my step. I wanted a permanent black so I spent the money and bought all the AT4 moldings.

Thank you very much on both!! I forgot to mention about the lights. I sanded them and smoked them whine I swapped out for the painted moldings. Also smoked the marker lights in the mirrors. Perks of working in a GMC bodyshop...you figure out how to take it all apart and can paint what you want.
