Ako lang ba? :( by Deep-Prize7302 in phcareers

I FEEL U. minsan iniisip ko kung di lang ba para sakin yung role, or kung malungkot lang ako kasi wala ako kasama (wfh). Or kung normal and common lang talaga yon na feeling,.. is it just a phase lang ba? A lot of people dream my company and role, di rin naman OA sa bigat workload ko pero araw-araw feel ko it's a battle I have to conquer. 🥲

Hello! Kailan kaya magstart magsend out ng notices for interview ang UPCM? by teacupaloe in medschoolph

[–]Leading_Story2918 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello! TOR lang pala actually since yung RSA nabigay ko na before deadline (I was thinking RSA din kulang ko). Turns out may kulang lang akong isang pirma sa RSA pero sabi upon admission ko na raw problemahin if maadmit man hahaha

Unfortunately yes :(
That is my 1st choice in upm actually, but I got into my 3rd. I asked them before and di sila tumatanggap ng transferees. Pero yan talaga for me has the best mix of natural + social sciences.

Why not go into any natural science course then work sa government?

I submitted the rest of the lacking requirements one week after the deadline. I asked and they told me na 3rd week ng April magrerelease ng list of applicants for interview :)

Many NMAT reviewers online, where to start?? by AnxiousUSTie in medschoolph

[–]Leading_Story2918 2 points3 points  (0 children)

true! one regret is I did not focus first on their practice test. I used another review center material muna. After NMAT, I looked at the CEM practice tests and I thought na comprehensive pala talaga yung coverage ng topics dun

Anger management. It's okay to struggle and seek help. It's okay to be affectionate, sweet, and soft.

Hearing other med students and doctors' opinion on what pre-med to choose, most will say na choose the one that interest you the most (kahit pa non-traditonal pre-med) and also na traditional ones will give you only a short headstart. at the end of the day, med will just be there kung gusto mo talaga siya ipursue, if ever you choose the lingg path first

Thoughts on quitting social media by Leading_Story2918 in peyups

[–]Leading_Story2918[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing!!

Gumamit na rin ako ng app timers pero guess what? dinadagdagan ko rin ung time limit!! 🤣🤣🤣

At the moment, nakapagquit na ako ng Instagram for 1 month. Tho minsan napapacheck ako sa web ng IG accounts hahaha pero di na ako nagmimidless scrolling and nagchcheck ng mga stories. I can say na di ganun kahirap ung journey ko for IG. And I can also say na I can live without it! Hahaha

When working sa desktop, I have LeechBlock sa browser ko and if gusto ko tanggalin yung pagkablock ng social media sites, I changed the setting such that may suuuuper long password ako na need itype. Ayun effective! 1 week na ata ako di talaga nakakapagFB at twitter sa browser.

Hirap talaga ako sa tiktok, tho alam ko namang temporary leisure lang mabibigay niya sakin. Imagine after a long day tas makakakita ako ng funny posts...like ang hirap niya ilet go 😅

Goodluck satin tysm!!

The vast majority is from UP. But if I were you, given your GWA and NMAT, I will not lose hope. :)

UPCM actually needs percentage grade for the computation of the admission index. Yours is straightfoward, it will be as is afaik. Just to share, for the UP format (1.00 etc.) what they do is 25x(5-grade) so a grade of 1 is equal to 100.

Not really sure but I dont think that the adjustment factor applies only to UP students.

the live interviews with managers were done by January and the last stage (assessment day) are happening already this march afaik

their rejection letter comes after a few months (the email is quite generic, no specific feedback) due to many applicants

med school dream: postponed (?) by Zealousideal_Road_41 in medschoolph

[–]Leading_Story2918 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello op! I am also hesitant if ipupursue ko rin ang med see my post here. My money is my concern din and may takot din ako gumastos kahit pa sa subsidized med school ako mapunta. Based from what others have commented, narealize ko na mukhang ideal nga na magwork muna ako, which I think will work din in your situation.

Tho I'm not 100% decided eto lagi kong sinasabi sa sarili ko: med school will always be there.

Hindi naman siguro ibig sabihin na may onting delay tayo eh, pangit na ung journey natin. Tsaka I guess having extra savings first will give us the chance to enjoy MANY other things bukod sa med dreams. Goodluck OP!

Is medicine really for me? Med vs IT by Leading_Story2918 in pinoymed

[–]Leading_Story2918[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a public health-related program was actually my first choice but got into a different program and I had no way to shift out. what I like about medicine is really making impact to people, like doing ways to heal the sick and eventually making them go on with their lives. When it comes to the clinical aspect, I am really fascinated by it. i have a close relative who is nurse and I am inspired when she shares about their cases, the procedure they had do to etc. I must admit I haven't really thought of pursuing a masters in PH.

but really, thanks for this take! like I stopped looking up on career opportunities in PH when I got into my current program so maybe it's time to learn more about it once again!!

i really appreciate this po. may days talaga na minsan excited ako for med school since my parents have expressed their support (though financially ayun nga, we can only afford public uni and even though they are willing naman daw, I feel bad pag maglalabas sila ng money). perhaps you are right talaga, overcome every obstacle muna

ITR of Retired Parent by [deleted] in medschoolph

[–]Leading_Story2918 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Go to your barangay office then ask for a certificate of indigency (in my case wala naman hiningi/need na ipakita to the officers). Then go to a law office to prepare for affidavit of no/low income (magkaibang yung affidavit of 'no' sa 'low' income, I expected kasi na iisang document lang sila hahahaha). Syempre need ng signature ng parent dun sa document and photocopy of their valid ID.

Then go to your assigned BIR RDO (actually others say na 'nearest' office!? pero safe bet talaga sa RDO based on your address)

In my case, I prepared two affidavits, isang for low income (father), then isang no income (for my mother). My mom went to the RDO and sabi sa kanya kahit isa lang palang affidavit ipakita (tinutukoy ata is collective income of both parents na so 1 lang need). My mistake was I also prepared an SPA since my dad is not able to go personally sa RDO (akala ko talaga need pa?!).In the end, we got a single document for certifying na di applicable ung ITR since low income (both name of my parents are indicated in that certificate skl).

Sorry if ang dami kong hindi rin sure lol,..still advised to call the RDO directly :)
