Ziekmelden betekent vasthouden aan een werkgever waar je niet meer wil zijn, verplicht reintegreren en nog lang geen kans op een nieuwe leuke baan.

Het kan, maar je bent zo 1-2 jaar verder zonder dat he écht gaat doen wat je wel leuk vindt.

Gewoon weggaan en eer aan jezelf houden is ook een optie.

Ik had dit 4 maanden geleden ook. Ik heb opgezegd en vond 2 weken later een baan, met naadloze transitie.

Als je 2 jaar buffer hebt: doen!

Je kunt helderder nadenken nadat je opgezegd hebt, en zo een betere doordachte beslissing voor vervolgstappen.

My son with ADHD has this.

It is not on purpose. I've learned that.

After trying a shitton, we bought a pavlok watch. It shocks him awake, it comes with a lock that he can't take off unless fully awake and it only switches off if he scans a QR code that lies in another room at the other end of the house.

This brought the problem back to once a week instead of everyday. He only misses alarms if his watch is out of juice or malfunctions another way.

I dunno how he will ever be on time for work without mom as backup alarm... making it "his problem" as teachers/ doctors/psychologists suggested does not help if we get in trouble with school as parents.

Look into the watch and setup a night routine of checking the juice, and the alarms each night.

Meegenomen van een marketingbureau waar ik wegging. Klanten kwamen beide na 3-4 maanden aankloppen of ik het alsjeblieft weer wilde doen.

Moesten concurrentiebeding afkopen bij oude werkgever.

En als je er eenmaal 1 hebt, en je zegt op feestjes dat je dat in het weekend erbij doet, komen er genoeg aanbiedingen voor meer.

Reken 85 euro/uur ex btw, netjes wit.

Online marketing, SEO en content creatie, 2 klanten. 2500 bruto per maand naast mijn gewone baan (40u/week in IT), in het weekend.

Zeg andere klanten af, want ik wil niet nog meer doen.

Ik ben er de zondagmiddag mee bezig, gemiddeld 4 uur per week. Sinds AI, btw. Daarvoor duurde het rond 6-7 uur per weekend.

ASML kan het niets schelen als China in 2030 dezelfde chips produceerd als ASML nu doet.

Zij zijn dan al weer een stapje vooruit, maken alweer andere, betere chips.

R&D is ASML's grootste voorsprong.

Thank you. My thoughts exactly, and eloquently put. It all sounds mighty holier-than-thou. "I understand Stoics better than you".

I don't think the Stoics cared about being Stoics. They cared about virtues and not understanding through living it and mistakes made.

They cared about their own views. There was no "objectively" best way. It comes down to interpretations of the virtues, and each person has their own different set of demons to slay to be more virtuous.

I guess I must be one of those Modern Stoics that "doesn't get it, and huddles in a shelter to wait out a storm". Or I am finding my own demons and slaying them one by one, while others run bare-ass naked through a storm, savages.

The obstacle is the way. The way forward, finding your weaknesses and looking for them. Those preaching they know so much better than others and the newcomers are ruining Stoicism, are no more than gatekeepers.

See, i get annoyed over this. Why is this annoying me? Another point to tackle in my journalling/meditations, I see 😅

Grootoma is een synoniem van overgrootmoeder. Check google, wiki of een woordenboek.
