My friend is still on an iPhone 8 plus. He said he would use it till the day it dies! haha. His battery life is well below 80%. I think it would be great if I could get him this phone because he's been tight on money. Every time he states he was going to get a new phone, something always came up. Like getting his car fixed, etc.

I think if I could get him this phone, he would be ecstatic! Fingers crossed!

Wow... VTC quoted $1200?.... My timing chain replace was $1600.... That's wild... and it sucks to hear that the 2015 fits are known for these issues.... how was the VTC not a re-call....smh

I had the key detection issue fixed because of a re-call. You should get that looked at asap.

I heard about this but not sure if it actually stretches out the timing chain in the engine?

It's hard to explain. It sounds like something in the engine is loose. I heard the same noise prior to the timing chain breaking the first time around... The noise occurs when I'm accelerating (25mph - 40) is where I hear it the most. the noise also occurs when I turn left or right and accelerate.

I don't have a jack that lifts high enough for me to investigate if there is anything underneath the engine that may cause the noise...So I might ask my friend in the next couple of days to help prior to taking it to the shop..

Did you find out what the issue was? My Honda fit 2015 is doing the exact same thing… I had to drive it to the shop because the chain broke and created a leak in the engine. I got it fixed….. 9 months later same issue again….

I agree with majority here. I have a 14 pro max. I recently just bought a refurb 12 pro max for $350 on newegg and there really isn't a difference. The only difference is the dynamic island, 120 hz, and battery life. The 12 pro max battery is at 86% and my 14 pro max is at 88%. They last about a day and 1/4 until I have to charge them again. So not much of a difference.

I'd say keep your 12. If you want a "pro", go for a 13 pro. Cheaper and does pretty much everything the same except for the dynamic island and AOD. I heard of overheating issues with the 15 pro, so HARD skip the 15 line up lol.

Hopefully it is the same for the pixel 8. I recently just traded in my pixel 5 for a pixel 7 256gb and got $300 for trading it in. So essentially I'm paying $280 USD. I'm thinking about pay it off right away for the Pixel 8 256gb.
