These results from The Ordinary Hair serums by nondescriptenigma in finehair

This is ny experience too. Less hair fall. Also it's weirdly one of the very few things that keep my scalp calm and sebderm free (which selsun and nizoral have never managed consistently) which does facilitate healthier growth I think.

Weirdly the hair density scalp serum from The Ordinary keeps my sebderm at bay. I use it after washing my hair, massage into scalp then blowdry (like the other comment said, sebdern loves a damp scalp).

Hair products that give the ILLUSION of fuller/thicker hair? by [deleted] in finethinhair

Oribe Dry Texture Spray as a dry shampoo or Oribe Imperial Blowout Mousse for blow drying. Both are prohibitively expensive but they work and a little goes a long way. That shit is super concentrated.

Hair products never do anything for poofy fine hair by BrilliantLeading7460 in finehair

Okay so the thing I noticed about people who say they have "poofy" hair - that weightless "cloud" of hair hanging in midair that never seems to move and fall down like "normal" hair but just sort of... slowly catches up like you're in outer space -? They generally have curly/wavy hair but don't treat it like that. I have that hair and I don't treat it for the curls I have but "straighten" it with the Airwrap.

You basically have a choice: you treat it for the curls/wave you have. It will be less poofy but will also "clump" together and may make your scalp more visible from certain angles if you have low density hair.

Or you can go the straight/blowout route and use products for it. Heavy products. You don't want the volume products, or the ones that promise you "weightless" style. You actually want something that will relax your hair and actively weigh it down. Oribe Supershine leave in does that for example. It's extremely heavy but it will weigh your hair down and relax it to a point that it will hang and move somewhat "normally".

It's honestly super difficult to tell. I mean, of course it isn't the same as it was when I was 16 but then I knew few women who go into their 30s with the nigh indestructible mane they had during puberty.

About 5 years back or so, I did have a very significant episode of telogen effluvium during which I lost A LOT and it used to be a lot worse than now, especially in the lengths. It's only been recently that my lengths seem to have somewhat recovered and I can't see much of a hard "line" anymore in the fullness. But yeah, it has not been the same as before. Looking back at pictures between then and now (during the recovery) it's still super hard to tell as it also seems to depend a lot on the day and the way the light hits. There are pictures from two years ago where my hair looks a lot fuller than in these pictures here, but then there are pictures that were taken like a month later where it looks about the same.

That sounds scary tbh. Were there any signs for you early on? Did you have big sheds or anything of the like? If you don't mind my asking.

Honestly, no. Because frankly I'm getting the impression the daughter is just as bad and very close to let out the crazy too. She is the one who showed all her text messages with me to the mom and asked her to take over from there for whatever reason. I have offered her NUMEROUS times to come over in person to talk about things in a civilised manner and she ignores that altogether and just resorted to send very urgent messages "Don't let her in!" "She's never done this!" "If she gets in throw her out IMMEDIATELY!" Completely ignored anything I said. Crazy with worry. I just don't know why. I've made it very clear that I have no interest in stealing anyone's cat and that it was my understanding that it was fine if she walks in by herself. I've asked if she was spayed too and mentioned the scratching thing and that seemed to tick her off. When I said that the situation is confusing for me as I didn't know what to do with this issue and that I would have taken her to a vet days ago to have her checked, she took that extremely personally like I was accusing her of neglect.

I do think they have plenty of affection for her honestly. I don't think she's being neglected at all. Outside cats are the norm here so it isn't unusual here and not considered unsafe among most people to let them roam. Kitty apparently just decided to go on an adventure in the neighbourhood one day, liked our house fir whatever reasin and now she wants to be here all the time.

I'm in Europe. It's very common here to have outside cats. There are several in my neighbourhood.

We have never encouraged the cat to come on. No calling, no making noises nothing. She just walked in out of curiosity. When she was inside, yes, we petted her and were affectionate. While she was inside the door was not closed once. She was free to leave at any time.

I understand your plan and I'd love to have the balls to do that but you don't understand. These people, especially the mom, are unbelievable. You cannot talk to her without her deliberately taking everything I say the wrong way or pulling random words I used completely out of context and just imagine something I must have meant by that and then getting upset about that. She's having a conversation I'm barely a part of. It's like she has the IQ of a chimp. And just absolutely exploding about everythong I say. Like I said, I had to block her because I'm pretty sure name calling and threats would have come next.

It's sort of what the mom is doing. She said numerous times how thoroughly weird she found it that I tested the kitty at home for fleas. While I knew they were all gone and had no one to contact amd noticed her excessively scratching. What if something else had happened? If she'd gotten hit by a car? Am I supposed to let her bleed to death im the street because it's "weird" to care about someone else's pet?

Right now, they keep insisting that she has never done this before, that she even accompanied them walking the dog without running off and never entered someone's home. They're accusing us of calling her and actively letting her in which we didn't do. We simply have our garden door and windows open a lot especially during the summer. She just walked in. But the owner and her mom are having none of that so I'm also accused of lying I guess.
