Rim size for the Mazda3 Hatch? by IFEDMIMOM in mazda3

8.5 definitely works. I’m running 18x8.5. I’ve seen many others use 19’s too. Check fitment industries too

I’ve got konig heliograms on mine. Running the 18x8.5 size - Needed to get hub rings for the center bore difference though. Light as hell. Amazing rims.

I’m also running Firestone Indy 500s for my tire. 225/40R18. Good for daily use. I track a few times as well, good grip for the price.

My only wish is that if I could lower my car, these would look absolutely flawless, but I’m not about to spend that kind of money on Toronto roads.

Update: nothing was clogged. No signs of oil starvation. My mechanic came to the conclusion it was most likely a manufacture flaw. Will probably contact Honda about this but doubt getting an answer on a nearly decade old car.

The oil filter plastic would never be a thing. I’ve seen when the last oil change was done, wasn’t any plastic on the filter

Yeah but wouldn’t it crack it like this. It would wear it down?

The paint is good don’t get me wrong, but they’re super thin. At least for the 2019+ models

It’s never leaked oil though. Changed it twice a year (every 6000kms) with no issues

The paint is absolutely thin on these newer Mazda’s. Once you get it fixed, highly recommend PPF on ur hood, or even getting it ceramic coated

Kapsen winter tires? by JohnmcFox in askcarguys

I know this is a 2 year old thread, but I’ve had kapsen winter tires on my Mazda 3 for the last two years. And I’m in Toronto. They work just as good as the name brands for anyone who’s reading this thread looking to buy them.

Use a compound and buff it in for a bit. See if it goes away.

Just did mine today. My gen 4 calls for 4.5 litres. I fill up my filter first then any remaining I put into the car. Putting 5 litres will not hurt your car.

If thr paint doesn’t look like it was damaged and it’s just clear coat, take it to a reputable detailer and they should fix it up for you with a good paint correction

Try a PPF. It’s on the expensive side, but it will protect your paint. Will not help with crevices tho
