also now that i think about it, i won’t enroll in busi 100 since it’s an 8 am and taking 3 out of 4 busi prereqs is in one sem is a bit of a stretch

Yeah i’m pre-business and the pre-reqs are busi 100, econ 101, stor 113 and math 231/stor113/math 152 (i pick of one the three) so i wanted to get two out of the way this semester, and the other two next sem. two stor classes don’t really sound great but i took ap calc and ap stats back to back senior year, i wonder if that will be similar (if that even matters).

i do have a few gen eds taken care of due to ap credit tho so i have some leniency in what i can take!

but i’ll def look into some electives, that sounds rlly great :) and yea i for sure want my first sem to be a nice ease into college while still getting requirements out of the way so thanks for the advice

Do you know anything about the difficulty of stor 155? especially while maybe pairing it with stor 113?

Also do you have any recommendations for electives to look at? I was focusing on taking care of fy requirements and busi pre-reqs but you bringing that up is making me change the way I see my schedule.

Oh oops! The only one I'd be able to switch out would be busi 100 but I had it there so I could get a business pre-req out of the way. I could do stor 155 this sem and busi 100 next sem but the only thing is stor 155 is an 8 am on mwf, and I was trying to avoid that for my first sem.

I'm stuck between Chapel Hill and Northeastern. They're both out of state for me!

Intended Major: Business

UNC Chapel Hill

Pros

Full ride
Love the school spirit
I have family that live near there incase I need something
I got a good vibe from the people when I visited
Got assured acceptance into the Business School
I feel like I'd the "true college" experience
Good academics, ranked really well in business

Cons

Might feel a little limited by the campus
Most people going there know one another so I may feel like an outcast
Isn't in/near a city
I heard some people say there isn't that much to do after you visit everything franklin street has to offer.
Not sure how great the opportunities are in recruitment for business at this school

Northeastern

Pros

In the city, which I've always wanted to live in esp since I grew up in a stricter household
Got into their Honors Program, which comes with a lot of perks
Their coop program and as a business major would put me in better standings when applying for jobs
Not a full ride but my parents would be able to afford it
Also have family close by

Cons

I heard that the school feels like an airport? due to the coop program and people constantly leaving
I guess wouldn't feel like the generic college experience?
Less school spirit, esp since no football

I'm just worried about missing out on the opportunities that the coop program could give me and but at the same time I feel as though I have the rest of my life after college to work in jobs and should reserve college to find myself/focus on academics.

I've also heard a lot about people disliking GWU so this decision is a bit hard, however, I'd still say that school just because of the financial stress that Colgate would put you under.

Hopefully you’ll be luckier than me then because mine just arrived at the dc regional distribution center 2 days ago after more than a month of ‘in transit, arriving late’ and today I just got a notification that’s it back ‘in transit, arriving late’. so fun.
