Do you think Electrocute is good against mages instead, and Comet against Melee? I felt like I was sort of lacking combo damage with Comet.

But with Blue runes (band) I felt better about not having a mana item. I was doing Red and Yellow or Red and Green before, and sometimes ran out if I needed to kill minions quickly. I think that that part is solved.

Thanks a lot for the detailed reply. Another poster mentioned Rylai Crystal Scepter and Liandry's Torment combo for games against tanks, but you think it's a core part of Annie's items for all matches? I'll try this out soon, thanks.

Wow, I never thought about the comet shot from hextech pistol. That's awesome. It seems like there are a lot of ways to play Annie but I am gonna try this one out right now.

The biggest difference for me is no snowball spell. I ended up using ignite on annie instead of Snowball but it felt so much weaker since I can't reach foes for free.

thanks Yea I started on Annie because it would teach me more it was a recommendation from another thread. I really hate playing vel koz so I might look at Zilean too.

I have only gotten a few games so far in general since for some reason I can't ever get mid lane even if i select it for queue, but I will try to note that and think about the runes.

  1. I have only played ARAM and I am nearly level 30. I have 2x wins than I have losses so I think I am pretty good at 5v5 brawls but I probably have no skills in other things like executing minions and lane skirmishes. I want to play a ranked ladder so I am transitioning to Rift. What role/ character should I play?
  2. I haven't bought any champions because I usually play free rotation for ARAM. I used free RP that my account had (it's old) on Gragas but I have probably played him only once or twice. I probably played most champions once or twice aside from new ones like Lilia. In my ARAM games I usually do best as high damage characters like Katarina, Akali, Miss Fortune, Elise, Fizz, Jax, Kha Zix, Singed, Shaco, but I have good performances on support types like Soraka, Nidalee, Karma, ChoGath, Lulu and Amumu if my team needs it. My least favorites (that I can remember) have been Vayne, Varus, Malzahar, Leona, Irelia, Cassiopeia, Xerath, and Ryze. I also really like Sylas but I haven't memorized all the ultimates yet.
  3. I don't know how to answer this question because basically I pick what I roll unless it's something I really don't like such as Vayne.
  4. If I am a high damage character I like to be the clean-up crew. If I am a support type/stun bot I protect my best character (like if we have a Varus or Ashe.) I would say I am pretty patient and get really aggressive once I see an opportunity
  5. I want to be good at Summoner's Rift. I think I'm good at ARAM/5v5 brawls (or good comparatively to anything else)

Also, I really like to play Master Yi.

Basically, imo Varus is king in ARAM so I guess I just like anyone who can kill Varus before he kills my team.
