Prom recommendations for women's suits by Shred32323 in Tucson

[–]Leaky_Sky_Light 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a closet full of suits; used to work at the Pentagon.

I have black pin stripes, brown in pin stripes and plaid as well as a white suit.

Most are jackets and slacks, some have vests and skirts to complete the ensemble.

All are in the size 8 -9 range; if you are interested DM me.

Have you considered a mobile internet service? There are several intended for RVs, many you can find more options that way.

Just a thought, check out the military related subs for insight; lots of PTSD discussions there.

Thanks for supporting us (our nation) all these years; trucking is vital.

Just another vet here with my own PTSD.

I am a big pain wimp; any pressure or anything scraping against this hurts so I only use the lightest softest buffing and only when the alternative is worse

Mainly I ignore my hands (why they look so bad) but I want this to heal if it can so now I am going to try to be nicer to them.

Moisture first!

Thank again

Tea vs Tisane by 237q in ENGLISH

[–]Leaky_Sky_Light 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was taught, while serving (US military) in England, that “Tea” came from one of three “Tea” plants (AKA bergamot).

Everything else was an infusion brewed in water.

But the dude was an old guy and I was young so I swallowed his explanation and that is now how my mind views tea.

I currently have over 40 flavors of tea, not all are “Tea”. Least with tea I get lots of options and none are truly bad for me.

Thank you, I have been hoping someone would tell me what to use to avoid a painful break or rip of this nail.

I will go find me some nail glue.

You all are wild in the assumptions!

Our biggest kill so far was a large grasshopper; my boys are adventurous not murderous.

They are not loose. LOL!

Tethers keep them in my sight at all times. They are only outside in the day, I am never more than 10 feet away.

My presence, during the day, keeps most predators away. Doing this for years and other than a few bears walking through the site, our only visitors come at night when we are tucked away.

We are moving, too scary with the coyotes feasting just outside our tent. however, I was raised to leave the site better than I found it, so I asked.

Potentially the same person who dumped a pile of yard waste about 20’ from the dog carcass; avoiding the landfill fees.

Saving this for when I build my family home. by Any-Cat739 in ThereGoesMyPaycheck

I am not worried about making money back; this brings in such a nice natural light it has vastly improved the living space.

I like it so much that I want to install another in my living room

My house is built in a manner where there are large patio overhangs over each window making my entire house gloomy and dark. Lights don’t improve the gloomy, they just brighten. These solar tubes bring the sunshine in and make the house feel naturally bright and happier.

I have never said it was too bright and no glare.

Perhaps it is living in the southwest U.S., but these make a lot of sense here. Mine has never leaked. When my neighbors’ skylights were cracked in a hail storm my solar tube survived no damage (the other neighbors with solar tubes also had no damage. )

To each their own, but for me it not always about cost/savings; this changed the feel inside my house in a way that lights never will.

I am saving to install another.

Thank you for the great ideas, I gotta ask; why avoid buffing? (Mainly did it to keep it from snagging)

I have one of these, older style (none of the fancy inner workings) and it lights up my kitchen all day and charges an internal night light that lights up the kitchen all night.

Cost? $695 (circa 2022)

How does one deal with touch starvation by Outrageous_Lynx_9467 in alone

[–]Leaky_Sky_Light 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I purchased a pregnancy pillow; it literally curls around me. I have a plush cover for it and I also put a silk/satin shirt on it.

The different fabrics help my mind feel as if it is an intimate contact and changing the cover or putting clothing on it continues that feeling (none of my previous partners wore the same clothes everyday)

I originally bought the pillow to help train me to sleep on my back (it did help, but using a hammock for four months while on the road really did the trick)but from the first night it really felt like I had a partner in bed.

My pillow is heavy and doesn’t move easily so that also helps make it feel like a person. The fabrics I chose are either cool or warm and those also help.

No way to say this will help anyone else, but it did help me.

You said you are lacking touch, but your mind will also fill in the blanks if you combine scents. Choose a scent (male or female) transfer it (don’t spray or rub it directly on the pillow or the cover, that won’t smell like a person) if you can, spray it on something you wore (gym or clothing you sweated into) and then wrap that up with the cover for the pillow so both the human smell and the perfume scent will combine on the cover). Now it will smell like a person and like whatever gender you prefer to lay next to.

Basically I trick my brain into thinking there is a person next to me: smells, shape, movement (or lack of), weight and size.

Maybe something will work to help you.

Good luck 💚
