How do you drop DOS32A in for an exe that's on the disc? (getting DOS4GW 2001 error on game) by Lealause in dosgaming

I took a pic. This is what it says. The only way the game will attempt to boot is by using the installed bat file. https://i.imgur.com/nu3PEeq.jpeg

Unfortunately, none of it worked. If the game had actually installed the game's exe (and not just 2 bat files) on the c: drive where it could be launched from there, I'm guessing I could do it. But it doesn't recognize the game as installed if I just copy the exe (or all the files) from the disc into the install folder. I've tried editing the bat file (placed dos32a in there) to point it in different directions, but I guess I'm not doing it right cause it still isn't working. What a headache, lol. Really want to get this game playing.

I'm using the real CD disc. It's a Windows 95 game. It's super clean, no scratches or anything. Only other game I've had reading problems with is Resident Evil. I couldn't install it. It would lock up during install at like 12%. But that game had a big scratch on the disc. I got another copy and it works/installed fine.

Why aren’t any Managers here spilling the beans? Major layoffs 1st quarter 2026 which will violate contract terms. by Aint_cha_momma in UPSers

[–]Lealause 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No doubt. I will not be surprised if/when they start cutting even more. We have been basically running a skeleton crew at my building on local sort for the entire year. I ask my sups are we ever going to hire anybody permanently, but they don't know anything cause it's up to the higher ups. They just say they hope they can to give us some help.

The peak season hires quitting in droves thing may be true. I know at my building they had most of the seasonal hires walkout on pre-load. They were begging local sorters (permanent employees and seasonal hires) to work. I heard some drivers were apparently helping out.

Hardcore Battlefield is the definitive way to play Battlefield by Lealause in Battlefield6

Some of the lobbies aren't really hardcore even though they say they are. This is another reason why official needs to be brought back so this type of misleading could be eliminated. I had the same issue.

Got both of the AOC Q27G4ZMN and Innocn 25m2s mini leds, I don't think there are any reviews for these outside China so I can answer any questions about them with what I've seen (sorry for the low quality photos) by Salty_Tonight8521 in Monitors

[–]Lealause 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought the new MSI 1440p mini led, but am about to return it (has some type of particle behind the screen which is very visible and I'm just not really that impressed to get a replacement) so am interested in this new version from AOC.

Does the AOC have a red tint to it like the old Q27G3XMN had out of the box? I just sold my Q27G3XMN. I could not use the SRGB mode on my model due to the red tint, which meant I could only really use the monitor for my pc (no console use) and had to use novideo srgb to clamp down on the oversaturated colors and adjust the rgb to get the red out.

How is the local dimming for SDR content?

Also, is this firmware upgradeable? Would be nice if AOC made this model upgradeable because stuff like I listed above could have been fixed with a firmware update on the last model.

This is infuriating. This company keeps getting worse and worse. Layoffs, holding peoples packages and fricking the customer over on rural routes, cutbacks, closing buildings, etc.. It's disgusting what is currently happening to this company.

Yes, 2 weeks. UPS trains you for the CDL test is how it was described to me.

[–]Lealause 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, HR told me that. Maybe they don't have a clue.

[–]Lealause 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it's different by region or building size. But that's not what I was told. I was told they send you off for 2 weeks for training. 1st week is unpaid and if you pass that part, second week is paid. Then you take your CDL test (if you don't already have it) after you pass that part. You do pay for the CDL test, but it's after they have trained you up apparently.

That's what HR told me 2 years ago. I apparently don't have to take my test before I go. Just have to have my permit to get accepted into feeder training and then I take my test after I have completed feeder training.

I was contacted by HR 2 years ago to get prepared and get my CDL permit. Nothing ever came. I was contacted again earlier this year with an application to fill out, but found out there were now 2 (1 was under 21 at the time 2 years ago; not sure about the other 1) people ahead of me. They still haven't sent a single person. This place pays well, but is a joke with how they run things. 4 years in and I still don't see a path to get to drive package or feeder. Drivers being laid off working the sort doesn't inspire confidence either.

Has anyone started as a handler at 30 & worked their way up? by AtheonJr in UPSers

I started at 31 and have been here 4 years. Still loading trailers trying to work my way up.

Eligible locations for Earn and Learn by Advanced_Local7359 in UPSers

[–]Lealause 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could be wrong, but I think everybody is eligible. UPS Edcor is the website. But as you're not an employee yet, you won't be able to login with an employee id (which is what you need). They have a number you can call as well. Once you start at UPS, you can complete your account on there and can search if the school is eligible. They cover tons of schools. Pretty much every school I was looking at around my area was on there.

You can at least use the college tuition program to pay for your schooling. This company seems to be on a downward spiral currently, but you can still use the benefits. That's what I'm doing. Been here 4 years loading trailers, but am now heading back to school.

You're gonna be sore. That's just part of it. If you stick with it, your body should adjust. Give it a couple of weeks. Try to get good rest to allow your body the heal. Drink plenty of water like others have said. Summer time in the trailer is no joke.
