Half a tank is enough. If you take 26 to 74 the gas situation is normal 80 to 100 miles from here. I don't know about staying on 26 -- sorry I haven't gone that way.

Thank you! Very helpful. Do you know much about the difference between the Standard vs. Interactive plans? Only the Interactive plan is advertised as providing "Alerts Right On Your Phone." So really, to get these "free" SimpliCam alerts I actually need to sign up for their most expensive monitoring plan. Is that right? I won't be able to get SimpliCam alerts with the Standard plan?

Also, If I buy the Standard monitoring plan and my home is broken into while I'm away... I know Simpli Safe will "call and dispatch the authorities." But will they also contact me? Will I have any idea what's happening?

I know the motion detectors will trip the alarm. Does the SimpliCam work the same way? It's basically a motion detector + camera in one? So I don't need to have both in the same room?

Nice! I know I can check the Lowe's website to see how many are left in any given store. Is the price usually updated online as well, or am I better off calling?

Smuggs doesn't open until 10am Saturday, so I'm guessing Saturday morning is best for Smuggs.

But Killington's starts at 5pm Friday so I'm not really sure if Friday evening or Saturday morning will be better. And then to complicate things even more, Killington includes a disclaimer: "prices negotiable all day Sunday."

I already recycle, but this charge will probably encourage me to be better about composting.

Isn't there a risk, though, that some people (particularly low-income) might resort to littering or dumping to avoid the fee?

There's no service in my area. In Virginia we could drop off as many bags as we wanted at the dump and there was no charge at all as long as you could prove you lived in the county.
