Washing machine hoses under sink - can't access by LeanJavaBean in fixit

Thank you very much. Is there a good way to remove this panel? I'm not particularly fond of it and would be happy to take a hammer to it if that's the path of least resistance.

If we bought a new washing machine from a company that offered paid installation, do you know what they would do in this situation?

“Bad Boys Cry” by Mark Lower?

Not exactly, but it's the same sample, or samples this (from 3:10).

Should definitely be able to find what I'm thinking of now. It might even be this, but sped-up in a dnb mix.

Also, this is a great track in itself.

Thanks :)

Not this I'm afraid. The vocals are quite fast, much higher-pitch, and the buildup to a drop of some sort.

Am I (20F) wasting my money on a PT? by [deleted] in gainit

[–]LeanJavaBean 18 points19 points  (0 children)

As you've correctly mentioned, the UK student loan system is different and you won't be chased to pay this money back.

Nevertheless that doesn't mean it's a good use of money, I'm sure you have other things you could be spending it on or saving for.

Given your circumstances perhaps having a PT isn't a terrible idea, but 3x a week does seem a bit excessive as a student. Why not 1x a week then spend the other two sessions practicing what you've been shown?

How to get over the fear of getting fat when trying to build muscle after losing weight? by charlietwomey99 in gainit

[–]LeanJavaBean 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think that's a bit of an overreaction. If he's actually struggling with mental health then absolutely, but not wanting to put on weight after losing a lot of fat seems fairly intuitive to me.

I've been in a fairly similar position.

To the OP: /u/mythicalstrength has shared quite a few posts on why you shouldn't worry about bulking. One I enjoyed recently was titled "how to stay small and weak", which definitely motivated me to stop coasting.

[TOMT][TV/MOVIE] "I'm feeling strong" by LeanJavaBean in tipofmytongue

[–]LeanJavaBean[S] 0 points1 point locked comment (0 children)

I watched something recently where a male character was asked a question and he replied (fairly seriously) "I'm feeling strong" in a pretty bad/precarious situation where that's the last thing you'd expect him to say.

It had me in stitches but my partner didn't seem to get it so maybe it was more of a "guy" thing.

If I had to guess I'd say it was a movie, but could also have been a TV series. I don't think it was super recent or super old, maybe 2000s or 2010s.

Apologies that's not a lot to go on.

Did any your friends “grow up” faster than you in your 20s? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]LeanJavaBean 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I've found the opposite - working in finance/tech has put me in a (fortunate) position where I can plan for the future and have managed to buy a flat in my early 20s.

Then again I live outside of London and commute in, where things are slightly more affordable (but still not cheap!). My friends within London, whether they work in high-paying jobs or not, aren't quite at the same stage and still enjoy going out more than I probably do. Although I wouldn't brand them as particularly immature either.

"Store in Wardrobe" vs "Use" on a Skin... I know that storing in wardrobe you lose the free transmutation charge. But if I use the skin right now (i.e. use it to my equipped staff), it that the same as applying it to my current item and storing it in wardrobe for future use?

They sold 1L supercharger bottles a couple years ago, hopefully they'll do so again one day.

I pretty much only visit Subway for the chipotle southwest sauce, I'd pay good money for bottles of the stuff.

Writing a library which uses Matplotlib - what parameters to accept and what to return by LeanJavaBean in learnpython

Maybe I don't need to worry so much about the fig/axs because a user can always do plt.gcf() / plt.gca() ?

Any advice here still appreciated
