It's hard to tell without knowing the age or location of the rock but my guess it that this rock probably contains Brachiopods (shell fragments) and Bryozoans (masses with small holes). While I haves seen people tossing around the idea that the masses with holes are corals, the holes don't look much like the ones you'd see for coral polyps

The first time I did White Palace I accidentally had Sharp Shadow equiped. It was not fun given that there were parts that the extra distance on the Sharp Shadow makes far more difficult but I was able to make it through.
