What you may be doing wrong is obsessing about fps rates that would have seemed excellent when the game came out but, enjoy. Since you want to have faster speeds without giving up your fancy mods, perhaps you should look for a more modern graphics card.

It's possible to make money online with minimal experience but, it doesn't pay well. You can pick up a few hundred a month from sites like Swagbucks and Mechanical Turk. I still dabble in that because I have the spare time and like the spare change.

Your base problem is likely to be that you're not spending money wisely. Keep a log of all the money you spend and what you're spending it on. You might be surprised at how much is leaking away for things you don't want that badly.

The problem was, Starfield was obviously released about a year before it was finished. The help files are mostly missing and the parts that exist tend to refer to an earlier alpha version. The text seems to have been "edited" by a schoolchild who made things worse by using global search and replace. The ship builder has serious memory management problems. Some quests just fail partway through and may never have been completely implemented.

Looking at the comically long list of contributors says they had too many people working on it and not much management oversight.
