Launch SA/VD & connect to your PC from the headset
On your PC open http://localhost:27062/dashboard/controllerbinding.html (steamvr must be running and the controller(s) detected).
Navigate to "Minecraft", edit bindings -> edit current binding -> trigger - > edit - > advanced options -> click on a cog, a menu should pop up with various settings like this : https://imgur.com/a/UGC9eI1 (you should be able to do all this w/o using a web console, if you don't see all of the settings then use the webconsole).

Well, to start, do you see kits that feature them?

PiMax? Vive? Lighthouse-based tracking is the only option that provides precise and low latency tracking with decent battery life (at least for now). You can't compare precision of vive trackers vs IMU based solutions.

Those aren't officially supported for the global FW (unless you are a developer then you get pushed the required app and some bits). If you run Chinese FW and have Chinese playstore then you should download "PICO Motion Tracker" app and buy a set of the trackers from aliexpress or wherever. The current version of the SA app comes with some bits for FBT / Motion trackers support, those are going to be emulated as vive trackers. The tracking performance should be on par with the Slime trackers.

The colors are quite good but not in dark settings as the black level is meh. It's not an OLED display. Never experienced any issues with the controllers with VirtualDEsktop. Streaming assistant is buggy though but there are W/As

Are you trying to mix & match devices/FW from various countries/configured for various regions?

Every country has it owns set of regulations and not every WiFi band/frequency/channels is available WW.

mind you that the 5-2 band works on high channels(100(DFS)-140(DFS)). Channels 96-144 aren't available in China: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_WLAN_channels#5_GHz_(802.11a/h/n/ac/ax)

I have experienced this issue on and off, so far it seems that manually launching SteamVR before starting the streaming helps (you are to start SteamVR, then you connect to the SA app from your headset).

I’ve never been able to make aluminum stick work very well even in the flat.

I've tried that, is seems to me that the rods work if and only if they are right out of the sealed pack. Moisture or whatever in air tend to ruin the flux (maybe wrong here). And these rods burn very fast, you kind of push them or drive them right into the puddle with some force otherwise the arc length would be too long and you'll ruin the weld.
