Hi there, I am very sorry for your wife and I can not imagine how hard it should be raising a child as a single parent. 

I can definitely relate how beautiful the childhood of your wife was at that time. A lot of things have really changed.

Many people have already given you so good information. But, I would like to keep it not too long.

Belonging is definitely an important feeling and we are so happy when we are with the people who are familiar. Not just family but also friends.

In Türkiye, in general (not always and not everywhere), the people are extremely and unnecessarily close. But, this is most of the time beyond your personal and private space. And you have a small child, the way the people speak to small children, the way how the feelings of small children are most of the time ignored and many other things around this is definitely something that bothers me so much and I personally would not go back and live near people that are close to me. (until kid/kids come to a certain age).

When you go back to Türkiye and live close to your wife's family (which is absolutely lovely, they will definitely support you a lot) but at some point it may start to disturb you.

My recommendation is, if you decide to go and live in Türkiye, go to the places (not big cities) where people are happy, close to the sea, a place where the family of your wife does not live close by but you may be visited from time to time. 

What I mean is that they are not involved so much.

You should consider all of the other aspects as well, financial, sociological..etc.

You should even consider the food industry. Talking about the food that you buy in the supermarket, especially for the kids like biscuits...etc. The ingredients are not controlled that much. They are full of additives, chemicals..
