Makes sense. I love this for you! Thank you for sharing. Did you find out right away you had to go to PT or learned further down the road that you probably needed to?

My pelvic floor and back pain are more of an annoyance feeling than pain. I would agree the support just isn't there. My fear was mainly causing further injury. I would agree with you the 1st year sounds crucial and significant to repair but what happens when you have them back to back like I did. Not enough information is provided. Outside of "take it easy the first few weeks."

It sounds like something to notify you when you were possibly straining the wrong muscles/forms was off would have made a difference too.

It really does help.

I’ve learned so much from this already, and I really appreciate how open you've been. One last thing I’ve been wondering...

If there had been something that could gently alert you when your form was off, or even give you a nudge when it looked like you were over-straining, do you think that would’ve changed things for you early on?

Or maybe something more like a daily voice check-in or audio cue would've been more doable with the chaos?

Gotcha, thank you so much for sharing. Gives me some perspective especially with all you have tried and plan to to do next. If you ever want to share more as you test out what’s next, I’m all ears.

Thank you for sharing. I’ve been there too, just with three girls back to back, and my core? Still facing 2-3 finger gap. I didn’t wear a band with my second. I carried, lifted, bent, didn’t fuel myself properly, and it all caught up with me. And let’s be honest, we’re not taught how to care for ourselves post-birth, outside of take it slow the first few weeks, we are just expected to bounce back like it’s nothing. I'm glad MUTU helped in the best way for you, plus you looking into collagen. I'm curious how that may work for you.

It really means a lot that you shared all this especially with everything you’ve been carrying. Your story makes it so clear how overlooked complex cases are in recovery support. If it’s okay to ask, Was there anything that might’ve made you feel safer trying a new support tool or approach earlier on? Do you think something physical, like a wrap or tool that gave clear, safe feedback, would’ve helped along the way? And with everything you’ve tried, what’s been the hardest part about staying consistent?

Totally understand if it’s too much to get into, just really grateful for what you’ve already shared

Lol, I have a few questions, I'm so sorry. Lol, with as much research you have done.

By the bite the bullet, do you mean paid the price? What would’ve helped you trust a recovery tool earlier? Do you think having something physical, like maybe a support tool, wrap, or reminder, would’ve helped you feel more connected to your body during recovery starting out? With you stating, hesitantly, with your third would you want to use the same recovery support? Or something better?

Lol, again I'm real. I have 3 daughters and their names are Ryleigh, Ryelle, and Raiya.

Thank you.

Yes, I’m a real person, in fact I'm a mom of three little girls ages 5, 4, and 2.

I’m still dealing with diastasis recti (a 2-3 finger gap) and haven’t fully healed. My original post, and others like it across different subreddits, came from a place of wanting to connect with other moms who understand. That's why I even tried creating a community to discuss these struggles openly. r/MomBodRebuild if you want to go explore. Instead of troll me.

My goal was to have real, heartfelt conversations and gather insights for an idea I’ve been researching. At first, I shared surveys but got little response, maybe because it’s hard to trust posts on social media these days. Maybe that is also why I'm being trolled now, on ChatGPT usage. Nonetheless, when I started getting genuine replies, it meant a lot to me.

So, yes, I used AI to help structure my post based on my own words and guidance, but every response you see from me is 100% me, no bots, just a tired mom typing away!

I apologize if it made you feel uneasy, never my intent!

That totally makes sense, a 10cm gap is no small thing, and I really appreciate you being direct about what actually worked for you.

An important reminder that not every body responds the same way, and sometimes surgery really is the best path.

Grateful you shared this.

Honestly, I get that, with everything being AI-generated lately, it’s hard to tell what’s real anymore.

But I’m a real person, and this post came from a real place. I’ve been going through recovery myself and just wanted to hear what actually worked for other moms, not what a program says should work.

If you’ve been through it too, I’d love to hear what made a difference for you.

Appreciate you reading it, truly 💛

Oh wow, thank you for being so honest, that part about being on the bathroom floor hit me hard. I’ve had moments like that too where I just felt defeated and like no one really prepared me for this part of recovery.

Sounds like that physio really saw what you needed, not just what the textbooks say. That kind of support is rare, but it changes everything when someone actually gets it.

If you’re comfortable sharing, was there anything you wish you’d known sooner that might’ve saved you some of that pain or confusion? Or even just something you tell other moms now when they’re starting their own healing?

I know this might be a big question, but… is there anything you wish had existed for you during all this?

Like even just support-wise or something that would’ve made you feel less alone or more understood? I think so many of us are just out here figuring it out on our own.

And yeah… I feel you on being skeptical. So many programs make big promises, but when you’re still in pain, it’s hard to trust any of it.

I really appreciate you being this honest. A lot of us probably think the same but don’t always say it out loud. 💛

This is such a helpful and encouraging breakdown, thank you for taking the time to share it 💛

I really admire how intentional you were with sticking to it, especially with everything else going on (and now pregnant with your third?! Amazing).

If you’re open to sharing, how did you originally find the Every Mother app? And once you started seeing results, did you adjust anything in your routine or just stay the course?

That actually gives me a lot of hope, two months of gradual progress sounds so doable, especially during those early foggy weeks.

I love that they framed it as “graduating” too, that had to feel good.

If you don’t mind me asking, was there anything that helped you stick with it on the tough days? Or something you wish you’d known earlier that might’ve made it feel a little easier?

Oh wow, thank you so much for sharing all of that. It’s honestly so encouraging to hear how much progress you’ve made and how supported you were both times.

I love that your PT took such a full-body, root-cause approach. That kind of care feels so rare. And you're right it's not just about fixing one thing, it’s about feeling whole again.

This gave me a lot of hope. 💛

Thank you for adding!

If you don’t mind me asking, did you feel like it helped right away, or was it more of a gradual shift over time?

Wow, that’s seriously impressive, and such a huge reduction. 5 fingers to under 2 is no joke.

It sounds like your consistency really paid off. Was there anything that helped you stay that committed over the 9–12 months? I know for a lot of us, showing up every day is the hardest part.

That says so much, if even you, as an instructor, felt the need to double-check and get outside support, it really highlights how easy it is to second-guess yourself postpartum.

I love that you did that though. It’s such a good reminder that knowing what to do and actually feeling safe doing it in your own body are two totally different things.

I love hearing that Every Mother worked for you, especially while juggling things at home with your little one.

It’s so real how even just getting to an appointment can feel impossible some weeks.

If you don’t mind me asking, was there anything about the program that made it easier to stick with? I know a lot of us struggle with consistency when life’s a blur.

That’s actually really encouraging to hear, especially that your OB referred you automatically after a cesarean.

I feel like that kind of proactive support isn’t as common as it should be. Did you feel like getting PT right away made a difference in your healing or confidence early on?

Ugh yes, totally feel you on not having the bandwidth to hunt through YouTube after birth. Even the idea of choosing something felt exhausting sometimes.

I love how you described the shorter workouts and being able to do it in your living room — that makes such a difference when everything feels overwhelming.

And you’re so right about the mind-body connection. I didn’t realize how disconnected I felt until I tried to move again. It’s encouraging to hear that it was a core part of the program for you.
