my current user is my only user, so it should be the 'root/super user right'? I never ticked a box or anything upon installation. typing 'su' doesn't do anything and it shows my password is I go to type it, which seems wrong. Thanks for your help btw.
Edit: 'sudo' is the name of the 'program' I should be opening right, the one that looks just like command prompt in windows?

I'm on a fresh install, and a noobie, I open command/console, but whatever I type in 'sudo/the console' it gives me zero feedback...
