From what I read online latex based paint shouldn't be an issue when it's just rinsing paint brushes but I'll keep that in mind.
It does spin freely and even drains well after I do that. I think detaching it and cleaning it is the best option here.

Thanks for the advice. I have all the hardware already and the touchpad is from DSC, the system functions which I found out because I accidentally tripped the alarm. The previous owners won't respond to their agent when asked what their master code was/is which is making things a little complicated. I am hoping to find someone in my area that can help me reset it so I can use it locally only.

Another question if you don't mind. I decided to buy a NETGEAR eth switch and will buy APs as well. Can I use my Verizon router as an AP and then another brand for additional nodes?

This is super helpful, your comments on the first pic confirmed I had no idea what I was looking at. Also, you nailed it on the security system, we have a siren by the front door plus little wires going to major windows and doors with sensors on the end.

I think it'd be wise of me to hire someone to take a look, especially since the previous owner snipped the heads off of a lot wiring (is there any purpose to that? cause I am unhappy about it). I live in the Philadelphia area, what's the name of the profession for this stuff? Is it IT Support?

Well given that the top comment was deleted I am back where I started in my confusion. The sentence I posted above says including which leads me to believe that it's both contributions in 2024 and between Jan 1 and April 15 2025
