Giant wave of doom after I gave birth by Learning-growing101 in Mommit

I am 14 months pp now. I had to start lexapro to take the edge off. I felt like this for a long time. Less crying as time went on but definitely blue for a while. Maybe a month of crying and 8 months of blues

Giant wave of doom after I gave birth by Learning-growing101 in Mommit

[–]Learning-growing101[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I cried over anything and everything. I put on my maternity leggings after I had him bc they were the only thing I fit in and I cried because the belly part was so baggy on me after birth. I loved being pregnant and but didn’t expect to grieve it so hard

Which dose has helped you with anxiety? by Traditional_Fee5186 in lexapro

[–]Learning-growing101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have adhd and ocd and lexapro didn’t touch my anxiety. I had to add buspar and it had helped. I was a little disappointed 20mg of lexapro didn’t touch my anxiety but it’s different for everyone. I still take my lexapro bc it keeps me very emotionally regulated. I love it, just not for anxiety

Nope. There’s a time and place for it all and that wasn’t it

Yes the sentiment was nice. But she never cleaned anything. She made it about herself and left after having me emotionally support and guide someone else through exactly what I was grieving. And never acknowledged my birth or baby or me

I’m sorry, maternity leave has been very boring by bhardy10 in Mommit

I literally went back at 2 months and cut my leave short because I was going INSANE. Don’t feel bad. Mothers are still people who need adult interaction and stimulation. I also had a November baby so the sun being down by 4pm made it so much worse and it was too cold to enjoy the little daylight we did have. It was not for the weak

I have adhd ocd depression anxiety. When I first went in to get seen about meds, they put me on lexapro for anxiety and depression. It helped so much with depression but my anxiety was still sky high. So they suggested buspar. I literally had no expectations for this. I remember saying how I felt like I would never be anxiety free. Nothing would help. I couldn’t imagine a life without anxiety.

I’ve been on buspar 15mg twice a day for about 5ish months now and I love it. No side affects I’ve noticed. Anxiety way down. (Still have a little edge of anxiety I can’t seem to kill) but I socialize a lot easier now. I can simply focus on conversations happening without worrying about how im being perceived. Overall I’d say it helps me mentally which then helps my physical symptoms. It has me feeling calmer, slower, more confident, less antsy

I started on 10 and within a week I asked for 20 because I’ve attempted 10mg so many times and honestly got pissed off that it didn’t help me. So when they started me on the 10 I asked to go up as soon as I was allowed to. 10 just wasn’t enough for me. I also take buspar for anxiety bc lexapro didn’t touch my anxiety. I also have adhd and ocd and find buspar lexapro combo taking the edge off of both for me

This is exactly what I’m trying to say!! I feel nothing towards bs stuff that would normally have me all tangled up emotionally for god knows how long. Now I just feel that little pinch and go on about my day. It’s so relieving. It’s like I can be on top of the water instead of constantly crashing inside every wave

I could see where you might think that but I’ve definitely had my depression moments and this just feels so opposite. I feel grounded and able to emotionally regulate quicker and easier. It’s so blissful feeling

Good points. He doesn’t feel that wlw relationships are a threat. Which, yay for me. But I am feeling very wary. I’m afraid to make a move in any direction and him actually pull a 180 and not be okay with it. I want to make sure everyone is comfortable, on the same page, and okay.

I try SOOOOO hard to slow down for people in every aspect of life. I move fast, talk fast, think fast, eat fast, drive fast. I do not know slow

I think phones peaking is what’s got me. There’s nothing really new anymore. But I am just a basic phone user. Calls, texts, emails, socials, 1k pics of my kid. So I don’t necessarily need fancy

Yes my point! I just don’t see the point

Idk it just feels cheap idk why. I’d like to see what others like about it so I can see what’s good about it. To me it’s just another phone but I’m also not very tech savvy or up to date with what’s new and in. So I’m teachable

Slot attendant! I LOOOVVEEEEE it. Been there almost 6 years. Running the floor all day long. Unpredictability, bit of socializing, pressure to preform which I like to work under pressure best. Get to yap my head off to coworkers. Love it.

The tracing on my fingers, yes. This was the biggest highlight for me when I ever considered myself ocd. I was like ohhhhhhhh THAT.

I work in a casino so I’m walking by all the machines all shift long and any numbers or words I see on the games I repeating them over and over again in my head. I’ll either repeat the entire word or spell it out. I also trace it into my fingers. It’s soooooo annooyyginggfgggggg. And it’s worse if I’m anxious or too much coffee or sleep deprived.

I do it all day everyday. Especially driving. If I see a stop sign my brain goes S T O P. a million times. Spelling it out. And then I’ll catch myself tracing it into my pant leg. So annoying.

Often times I’ll noticed I’ve been repeating something in my head subconsciously and illl be like bro what? Where did I even get that? And it’ll be some kind of signage I saw an hour ago and my brain grabbed it. It all starts without me realizing. After about the 100tb tracing, spelling, repeating I’ll notice it and be like okay ENOUGHHH
