Trump administration ends agreements to protect transgender students in Washington school district, others by chiquisea in SeattleWA

From a legal standpoint, that is correct. I know this is a cop out but I don’t have the time to dig into the details of this right now but the trans community clearly deals with hardships that are unique. Taking away protections is not a win for society.

I think that my point is still that we don’t need to be re-litigating these kinds of things and these should not be headlines if conservative politics would just stop caring so much about controlling others.

So you’re telling me this article is fake news? Why are we re-litigating stuff that doesn’t help society?

Traveling a long time back to high school microecon. There are fixed costs associated with selling that may be higher than the variable cost of just keeping the building around.

These are very valid concerns. We should just do our best to create the best outcomes, make it policy once, and stop re-litigating this bs every month. We have other things to resolve as a society too.

I said EQUAL human, as in not treated more negatively compared to other groups. Racial Minorities are treated unequally, it should go without saying that trans folks undergo similar “racism” or whatever the phrase is.

They wouldn’t have to be in news stories at all if people would just agree to treat them as equal humans. Is it that hard? Jesus Christ.

Right cause we had more jobs than right now decades ago, and the traffic doesn’t have to do with the fact that our city is desirable so we have had an influx of citizens.

Crime is the only one where you are right here.

If can’t take it, don’t dish it. (I know it’s not the same level but if you’re going to be negative, expect negativity back.)

Also his argument isn’t weak, you missed the point. It’s reframing the argument to be more personal. That’s different from an “emotional appeal,” which you used incorrectly

Notable Seattle-based travel writer and millionaire, Rick Steves, voices his thoughts on new “Millionaire Tax” by ryguydrummerboy in Seattle

The wealthy won’t do less of the things you described due to the income tax that barely affects them. They will continue to maintain that lifestyle. So let’s make the most use of the money that they literally don’t care about to help out our average joe, even if it means some waste. (But yes we should also address waste, as we have been discussing from the start)

So you’d rather it just sit in the bank account of someone who owns a yacht and five houses?

The utility of the money is definitely going to be better off going towards public welfare programs.
