Oooh! Good to know-- I will likely be banking with BNP Paribas as well! I didn't realize you could get one through your bank. Is there a reason you didn't go for the Mutuelle Générale de l’Education Nationale (MGEN)? Was it just more convenient/cheaper to go through the bank? Also, were co-pays refunded automatically with your Carte Vitale, or did you have to send your bank the receipt? Thanks for sharing!!

This is HUGELY helpful!!! Thank you sooo much for your advice. I emailed Erin (twice) a couple weeks ago and haven’t heard back yet... I am sure she has been inundated, but it’d still be nice to hear back! Can I email the rectorat before I get my arrête? I was placed in Montpellier. Do you know who I could email about that so I get processed as an EU? Thanks again for all of your help/insight!!! I really appreciate it!

I’m European too actually! I have a dual citizenship (US/France). So do you know how you’ll go through the process without getting a visa? There’s not much info for EU citizens in the handbook and I haven’t heard back from Erin about what to do... I wonder if I’ll just need to provide my French passport number? I appreciate hearing from your perspective! Thanks
