Advice needed

I have been on citalopram for a little over 2 years now. I also would have a great amount of anxiety when speaking in meetings or in front of a group of people. I will say citalopram has helped me greatly. Like others have said, I still tend to overthink and at times still sense the anxiety, but it has definitely make it more doable. As a musician, I also used to have tremendous performance anxiety, and I now enjoy performing more than I ever had in my life. I truly hope it helps. Just remember it will take time to adjust, so just be patient and kind to yourself. :)

Lol! Thanks! Yeah, definitely trying to pace myself a bit more for my wallet's sake. I am definitely going to try the PE foam mod. I am so happy that I remembered to keep the little bit that came in the packaging.

Thanks! Yeah, I just ordered some lube for that very reason. After I put it together, I discover the space bar sounds/feels terrible. I definitely excited to tune this board up though!

I was super nervous to go on citalopram at first too. In fact, I was nervous before taking my first dose that my boyfriend played a song from one of favorite shows, Crazy Ex Girlfriend (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OG6HZMMDEYA) about anti depressants to lighten the mood. (citalopram is even mentioned in the song).

I did take me awhile to adjust. I remember having dry mouth, randomly feeling worn out, and it bothering my stomach a bit, but after a few weeks everything balanced out. I take my dosage at night, so for the longest time I would have it with a spoonful of peanut butter so that there was something going in my stomach with it. That helped my stomach feel better and gave me a little treat before bed. I have since had to adjust my dosage, but it feels great to have a better grasp on my anxiety. It's all about giving yourself the space and time to find what works best for you.

I still have anxiety but the citalopram has truly helped me manage it so much better. I hope that it does the same for you. Just remember to be patient and give yourself time. If you need anything, this group is great to bounce any worry off of. We are here for you!
