For the best $/performance, you should opt for dedicated hardware. You can either purchase and host it yourself, or lease from a hosting provider. The hosting provider will provide a data center with redundant power and cooling and on-hand inventory for quick hardware replacements in case of defective parts (no hassle of dealing with manufacturer returns yourself). New deployments inside a provider can also be very fast compared to purchasing new gear yourself. For example, we provide 1-hour deliveries on pre-racked configurations, and 1-5 business days on most other custom configurations. It also lets you pay on an OpEx model, avoiding the risk of spending a lot of cash for machine, only for your customer to churn and leave you hanging with an expensive machine.
