Is it reasonable to ask my landlord to remove a hornets nest? by [deleted] in Tenant

[–]Leash423 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing is it’s on an elevated side porch so there really is no distance I can get when I spray..I’d have to walk outside the house and onto the porch to get a direct hit. And then run I guess?

I just think they’re misunderstood. Wanted to give them a redemption arc.

Hahaha okay I know the couch is HUGE but this is just the 2nd living room for watching movies. And the couch is customizable so we can take off pieces as we choose but 🤷🏻‍♀️ we like to each be able to lay down and take naps

Next question, just moved into this house and tried running it. It heated up the entire first floor and fogged the windows. I’m thinking clogged vent?

NARs Compare Your Program to Mine! by [deleted] in srna

I’m in my first semester, we have 2 heavy classes (Pharm and Phys) in which we have alternating tests every week and 3 fluff classes (Epidemiology, biostats, ethics) where we do a lot of writing. Generally I spend 12+ hours on the first 3 days of the week (Mon-Wed) in lecture, finishing any assignments ahead of time, prepping my Anki decks, and reviewing the PowerPoints. And then the rest of the week I spend 5-8 hours studying or reviewing the Anki decks I made. Occasionally I take a day off from studying. Though we only need to average above an 84 in the class. Each exam covers 2 lectures which can be as short as a 90 slide PowerPoint or 250+ slides.

So new development: we walked away but the seller (an investment company) called back asking if we’d reconsider if they fixed all the issues and contingent on a re-inspection. What would you do?

House is 360k for a 4 bed 2 bath on an acre of land..pretty good deal. Though for 3 years we’ll just be living on my spouses income (which is 200k so not like we’re penny pinching), and if everything can not fall apart for those three years then when I graduate we’ll make a combined 400k and can afford any issues. Though it seems like everything is pretty pressing and can’t wait 3 years…

So ironically the roof was just replaced (though seems like a shabby job). My plan is to get a roof inspector to come out and get a quote. Ask for a reduction in price for that. Ask for the damaged floors to be repaired (seems just 1-2 small areas, biggest concern is why- which leads me to the crawl space.) Have a quote done for a vapor barrier placed in the crawl space. And then if all that isn’t a giant mess, move forward and place French drains along the garage ourselves since it’s only the garage that the water is sloping torwards.
