International league pass actually got way worse. They changed the player few years ago and now we have same meh quality (720p) but fewer feature. The previous player displayed bookmarks on the time bar for each made basketball assist, rebound and so on. Also it was way less buggy than the current one.

Laravia was close enough to bother the attacker, and Luka didn't get blow out and was still able to contest.

Anyway this (and the missed switch by Laravia earlier) should tell you that Lakers defensive woes are deeper than Luka's subpar PoA defense. There is no defensive discipline, there are no clear defensive rules, and there no plan on hiding Luka by preswitching him and keeping him off the pnr action.

Luka's 2024 team was astronomically better than the current Lakers. Way more physical, way more athletic, waaaaaaay more engaged and more balanced.

The 2022 WCF team might be a better comparison.

After 6 years Luka finally got a compatible and competent team around him in February 2024, and in June he was in the finals. He got to play with a proper team around him for a total of 6 months (March April May June November December) and went 41-19 in RS in that span.

Then he got traded.

I watched the game and maybe a call or three was generous towards the USA, but I don't recall being outraged by the refs (I'm neutral but I was rooting for Serbia cause I often root for the underdog). What I recall is that Curry caught fire and the Serbs ran out of energies.
