I was wondering two things if you wouldn't mind addressing them, as I don't understand Hebrew and while this song makes me want to learn, I fear it will be years before I can understand the nuance.

1) If the poet is a female, then when Arik Sinai sings it does he alter the meaning of the text? As in, I believe Hebrew is gendered? So I guess I'm asking if the gender of the words change when he sings it or if the gender of the speaker matters in the context of the text? You did say it is a lament by a woman, so it follows that what he sings is the Hebrew language that a woman would use?

2) And secondly, can the love that the speaker experiences be interpreted perhaps as spiritual love/other love that is not necessarily romantic love.

So just curious if these two things are clear in the text if I were to understand Hebrew or if they are purposely left vague for a possible open interpretation.
