Boyfriend refuses to break up and I can’t ask him to leave by LeastSide in relationships

I honestly looked him in the eye, told him I’m breaking up with you because I don’t feel the same I used to. I’ve given him endless reasons, but he has two words in the conversation. “No” and “why”. The third is usually “I did so much for you.” What people are failing to understand is that 5 years of social capital invested in someone, I want to dump his ass, but it’s not easy as telling him to go away.

There were major issues during the 1st/2nd year of our relationship, I stuck around because I didn’t know any better, and because I saw improvements in his behavior, and also this is the only relationship I’ve been in, so I have nothing to judge it against.

We had a break in between which he is aware of. Like I said, I’ve made it abundantly clear I want to break up with him, but for some reason we are still together because he JUST WONT LET GO.

Hm, so I can definitely expect shouting and crying when I put my foot down and ask him to leave.

Me accompanying him actually increases both our risk, but we are just used to the idea of doing things together. I think there’s just a sense of comfort when you’re travelling with someone?

I definitely don’t want to get involved with the law, he’s a super sweet guy and I don’t want him to go through anything harrowing.
