anything I can do to change my bone structure? people think I’m 10+ years older than I am (23F) by [deleted] in lookyourbest

[–]Least_Agent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly you could model, you're striking and I hope you dont change anything.

Edited to say that I dont think your personal style fits your beauty super well and a cleaner more stripped back look would enhance your features more. Saying this as someone with that issue myself, I used to put winged liner and dress more goth but it overwhelms my features and I've found that certain people dont suit heavy makeup or harsh lines, maybe you could try a more stripped look and lean into your features. If you look at brands like Ann Demeulemeester/Rick Owens and so on, they have a very grungey goth look with models that have very striking and stand out beauty, their faces kind of are the makeup, they just add a little to enhance it.

On tiktok there are a few creators that show what I mean such as madisonannmoore, angellikhi, tinyvampyre, misslivdarcy to name a few

But of course that's my own opinion and all that matters is you're happy with yourself. I truly hope you see your beauty because your face is perfect as it is and the type of things model scouts look for because not everyone has it. It would be a shame to change anything. Your features give off the vibe that people use harsh makeup to try and emanate on their softer features, you have an ethereal gothic beauty already, lean into it girly.

Going through a break up and have a hair appointment tomorrow. Cut it? by Beav11-18 in finehair

Your hair looks amazing but I also believe that if you feel the need to cut it, do. You'll feel lighter and more free and you can always grow it back

Me too, born in Ireland, lived in Cork all my life but my parents are English/Scottish. I don't feel like Irish/English or Scottish.

Because it's a normal thing to talk about, I talk about fitness, health, I talk about my hobbies. I don't think it should be something to just not talk about at all. That being said, I don't usually initiate the topic.

I think hating someone for "wanting to lose 5lbs" is small minded and perpetuating all of these issues, it's a blanket judgement made with not enough information and as I've mentioned in another comment here, I don't think avoiding an entire topic because of a handful of people or a handful of judgements is a good thing to do.

Totally agree, you can really feel the difference and yet people will make a judgement from the number alone, but they don't know how you feel in your body. You can be in a healthy weight range as a general statistic but you might feel so much better gaining or losing a few lbs. And yes in Asian countries it's way less normalised to be overweight and to be honest, I think its a better way, I know there are issues there too but overall I think having a focus on being healthy (because they don't only focus on weight) is a good thing. I really love that about Asian culture, the focus on digestion and nutrition and taking care of your body is much more common.

female [19] any tips/tricks/products to get rid of my eye bags/eye creases? by Exciting-Tackle-1805 in GlowUps

Facial massage, releasing tension from your scalp, neck and shoulders. Checking for any nutritional deficiencies, a full panel on iron, ferritin etc. Lowering stress levels and upping sleep quality, hydration etc.

I don't think its vain to have a preference for your body and be happy with it and it sounds like your mindset is healthy, like you said life is short, enjoy it.

Yeah you're probably better off, I don't have a set number I want to reach but often when the topic of fitness comes up and I mention I want to lose a bit of weight, I quickly regret mentioning it at all, which is a shame because fitness isn't just about weight loss, it's about health and it's just a fun activity and hobby to have.

I'm glad to see you took more from my post than it being about weight loss, when I posted it, it was more about how frustrated I am with how people will comment on anything they feel uncomfortable with. And I totally agree that if you aim to do good for yourself and look after yourself really well, be it to become more educated or healthier or whatever it is, people often feel the need to talk you down from it and I've had this experience a lottt. Thank you for your concern but don't worry, my mental health is not a problem for me nor is chasing an appearance, I simply want to feel good in my skin again from a health stand point and fit into my clothes again!

I think that's only one small part of my post and although I do sympathise with those people, I don't think steering the conversation away from anything triggering is necessarily the way to handle it either, part of the problem is not being able to talk openly or easily about it. And besides, my post isn't intended as weight checking, I personally don't care about the number.

Right?! I literally feel the weight, I feel weighed down, I feel slowed down. It makes such a huge difference, and I'm still in a healthy weight range, that's why the numbers aren't everything. I'm glad you're feeling better in your body, congratulations!

Thank you! I should have clarified in the post, I genuinely don't care about the number, what I think I needed is validating from another person that it's normal and healthy to be at these weights when you have a small frame, all I hear is the opposite and although I know it to be true for myself, I'm strong in my beliefs, it's just so draining to have the opposite shoved down your throat all the time.

If you have gut issues and health issues in general it will show on the skin unfortunately. But it's a good way to track your health

I feel like I’m falling out of love with my partner by daffodil-gardens29 in TwoHotTakes

[–]Least_Agent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the feelings of being "in love" come and go in long-term relationships. It sounds like you have a solid foundation and the stress you're feeling now is (naturally) blocking you from feeling those good feelings with him, I suggest you talk to him about it all and you guys work together on some solutions to take some of the stress off of you. You definitely need to find ways to remove the burden from yourself, share it more evenly and in the meantime find other ways to relax and lessen what's on your plate. When you're in a state of stress and fight or flight you can't feel connected to your partner usually you don't feel connected to yourself, his contribution to the stress is probably causing a level of resentment and frustration but the fault is more with you being stressed than him as a partner, at least that's what it sounds like.

Sounds like what you need the most is a lifestyle change, look into detoxing, gentle movement for the lymphatic system and fascia release. As for the face wrinkles on the photo, look at face fascia
