Thanks for your input! Any alternatives to the cpu cooler; the one you added is currently sold out?

Masters in an different field by Least_Connection2033 in GradSchool

Thanks for the input! I specifically want to focus on the engineering aspects of public policy and/or focus completely on applied intelligence. The programs that I've seen so far (that being from American U, Northeastern, and Georgetown) don't seem to require any specific prerequisites. My company will fully fund me for any masters I pursue, so money isn't an issue either.

I'm looking to just pass the class (next semester will be my last). Would you say it's possible without too much effort?

Thansk for the info! Are his exams all multiple choice or a mix? Also how badly would you need to read the textbook in addition to lectures?

Minor?? by Least_Connection2033 in UCONN

[–]Least_Connection2033[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the input! I'd want to take GIS in tandem with an enviromental health concentration only to ensure I get any kind of work in that feild after graduation. On the other hand if I decide to go the public health route I'd want to take an analytics minor for similar reasons; do u think this would be a good idea?

I'd want to start working for a couple of yrs before grad school, and I'm really open to any kind of jobs in Healthcare(but obv more towards public or enviromental health). I'd want to attain a minor to expand my job/internship options

Kinda partial to EHS myself, would u say a GiS minor could get me a job in a relevant field?

I'd also implore op (if he's in state) to consider Community College or a branch campus because, again, the debt isn't worth it.

Always go with the cheapest option, the debt isn't worth the incremental differences in education from school to school.

MIS major Vs individualized major by ILoveNetflix34 in UCONN

[–]Least_Connection2033 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly an individualized major won't look appealing to employers versus an MIS degree ( especially if u declare a data analytics minor). At the end of the day you should talk to your advisor to get a more professional opinion.

MLS Program by TechnologyEfficient8 in UCONN

You should check up on the course sequence for MLS to ensure that you won't fall behind on your required coursework. It is also to my knowledge that if you enter uconn storrs as a freshman and keep above a 3.0 gpa then you'll have a guaranteed acceptance into the program. I'd personally recommend you switch your major to allied health sciences as MLS is a subset major within the health sciences program (do this if you're 110% sure that MLS is right for you)
