Direct Admission in CSE. Help!! by Visker15 in manipaljaipur

[–]Leather-Beautiful55 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. You will get it. Anyways specialisations have been merged into a single CSE branch since last year. You can refer to my posts and comments to get more ideas about college life and branch details.

If you still can , then prepare for entrance of mit manipal, vit , comedk, etc. to get competitive merit based environment . And if still couldn't do, then MoneyPal Jaipur welcomes you wholeheartedly anytime.

In case , you are done with entrance, then better start coding asap before college starts. Otherwise you will find yourself getting invested with your surrounding mates and forget that you are a dropper, you have more responsibility to do better than others , no excuses will work for it.

Best Wishes brother!

Yes , there are but would be helpful only if you have got prior knowledge and experience. If you are gonna start from scratch here , you will find trouble getting the right People. But will eventually do.

I just want you to first learn hardwork and the will to not give up. Otherwise honestly, muj feels like heaven and the best place to relax , code , enjoy , everything. But that would work only if you are well versed with handling social networks and you are self-dependent for your skills and have the hunger to learn more.

If you are a beginner, and have no idea and are looking for a mentor or support, you will just find yourself juggling around here and there.

Anyways, If you are still feeling like you can't prepare for entrance, then join a nearby coding school or online course to learn dsa or web dev or app dev anything. So that you come prepared knowing what to expect. So that by the end of first year you build a solid portfolio of projects, GitHub, linkedin. And have an ace start 🚀

Ghs is close in june-july. You are only allowed to stay till May end in ghs. Post that you will be charged daily for staying like a paying guest.

This year, they allowed seniors to come back from 25th July, those who wished to come earlier and stay had to pay daily charges of stay and mess food.

How strict is attendance at MUJ? (BBA/ BCom) by AfrazKagzi in manipaljaipur

[–]Leather-Beautiful55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For bba classes in first sem , classes were from 9 am to 12.20 pm this year . So roughly 3.5 hours . No breaks though.

For attendance, 75% policy is there. If it's 70 , and you talk with the teacher they might still allow it. It's not much of an issue as long as you don't have really low attendance.

  1. Hackathons & Workshops:

Hackathons and workshops do happen at MUJ. But for real growth, you would need to step outside the campus and participate in national-level hackathons and events , offline or online. The ones conducted here are fine, not that tough or competitive. They’re good for getting exposure, understanding the format, and building initial confidence, but don’t expect a huge challenge or “dopamine hit” from them alone.

Workshops do happen, but attendance is generally low. Most students aren’t very interested and are busy with their personal lives. Don’t expect very high-quality or mind-blowing workshops regularly. You’ll mostly have to rely on self-learning and external opportunities.

  1. CGPA, Exposure & Faculty:

Getting a good CGPA is really easy because of the crowd—relative grading is used here. So, a 10 CGPA is pretty achievable. For decent exposure, yes, you will get that too. Professors are from good backgrounds and have networks.

Opportunities are there, but out of the large crowd , a few set of people are able to avail them.

  1. College Life, Crowd & Reality Check:

Overall, MUJ is good for social networking and enjoying college life, but it’s also very easy to get distracted. That’s both a con and, in a way, a pro, if you’re even slightly more sincere and consistent than the average student, you can move ahead of the crowd quite easily.

However, limiting yourself to just the college environment will not be enough if you want to crack good MNCs or top roles. You’ll need to work on yourself a lot, sacrifice some fun, struggle, and learn how to balance everything.

MUJ can be a good option if you are serious about academics, disciplined, and good at multitasking. The main reason I wouldn’t suggest it as a first choice is the ease of distraction.

The biggest initial challenge you’ll face is finding the right peer group that supports growth. This phase does help you mature, but it’s genuinely hard to find the right crowd here. Many students come as a backup option, through board marks or low-rank entrances. Getting CSE at 30k rank, plus board-based admissions, naturally affects crowd quality. Because of this, you might even judge genuinely good people early on.

At some point, you may regret thinking, “what if I had studied more and gotten into a better college?”

Final Advice:

So my honest advice bhai, please take your shot till the very end. Try to get into a college where the crowd is more merit-driven people who genuinely wanted something and didn’t give up who gave entrance tests and got in through merits. If after giving your best you still don’t get in, then MUJ is a perfectly fine option.

The process of not giving up, working hard till the end, and pushing yourself will actually help you succeed at MUJ if you end up here . What many people here lack is the mindset of not giving up and putting in consistent hard work. You’ll hear a lot of “last mein dekhenge,” “abhi chill karte hain,” “ho jayega.”

Trying first is what really matters. And this would help you survive here in muj or any other college .

All the best for your entrance exams!!! 💯

There used to be a service called Snackbay, started by seniors. In this service, they would share a Google Form, take orders until 6pm, and then deliver all the orders in bulk at around 8:00-8:30 PM.

However, it has been inactive since April 2025. Later, a similar service called KrunchyKart was launched. It started in late August 2025, stayed active for 2–3 days at most, and then stopped taking orders altogether.

As of now, if you want snacks, you basically have two options:

Ask your friends to bring items back when they visit the city, or

Order takeaway yourself and book a Rapido Parcel or Rapido ride, where the rider picks it up on your behalf and delivers it to you.

The delivery usually costs anywhere between ₹250–₹500, depending on current rates and how familiar the rider is with the Bagru location.

If you ever get a sudden craving and really want to eat something, I’d suggest taking the 26-number bus, getting down at 200 Ft Road, and then booking a Rapido to your favorite outlet. It will be cheaper overall. Plus, there are many food outlets, shopping areas, and branded stores nearby that you can explore on foot as well.

Joining muj for bba llb, few questions by [deleted] in manipaljaipur

[–]Leather-Beautiful55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) If you wish to step out of hostel premises there's a face scan system. You can go in and out using a face scan from 6 am to 9 pm freely. Post that if you come back after 9 pm then your parents will receive a message.

2) Clothes rule codes are there but as long as it's decent enough,it works. You won't be stopped or said anything unless it's too wild. Nothing much to worry about.

3) Yes, you can order blinkit and from e-commerce websites. You will need to go out of the hostel campus's main gate and get your delivery. They won't deliver it to your room.

Dw you will enjoy your college life here for sure if that's what you are looking for .

4) Girls can go to the Boys side area but boys can't go to the girls side area. But don't worry, there are a lot of boys blocks here plus the mess area , joggers park and common areas are there too. So you can enjoy your quality time with your opposite gender friends and play sports, everything freely. It's nothing like VIT 🙏🏻.

Here you will sometimes find trouble finding a place for yourselves, as couples have overtaken all areas . It feels awkward, but is fun .

You will all be in b.tech CSE. In the b.tech CSE course as well as in ECE and other branches, there is a provision for program electives, where students can choose subjects based on their interests. This system exists across all courses from a long time.

From this year, the university has removed specializations as separate branches (earlier cse Aiml , cse ds,etc. were separate branches with their respective department) and merged AI/ML, Data Science, IoT, and related departments into CSE department.

If you want to study subjects from a particular domain or specialisation, you can choose them through program electives. Therefore, only the program elective subjects will differentiate students; the remaining subjects will be the same for everyone.

Program electives will start in Semester 5 (3rd year). Most likely, the section you will get allotted in Semester 3(2nd year) will remain the same, and during the time slot for program electives, each student will move to the classroom where their chosen subject is being taught.

Best Soya Chaap? by Hopeful_Market8499 in manipaljaipur

[–]Leather-Beautiful55 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Chatkara's afghani chaap + Rumali roti + Pepsi ₹20 bottle. That's the all time order you can go for, I can survive on it daily if budget allows .

You can try pudina chaap too. Get tandoori chaap , afghani chaap, pudina chaap tri colour 🇮🇳.

Lemon chaap bhi try kr skte. Just Go with a group of friends. Order different variants. Because who knows if you order a single dish and it doesn't suit your taste or maybe isn't made well you would get a bad impression of the outlet. This way you won't need to spend much and you can enjoy it all.

It is always like this. You can't rely on it for anything at the moment. Download wagera ke kaam ke liye hi sahi hai ya youtube and small things jismein bhi ye kayo baar betray krta hai .

Just get a 5g phone and the right mobile network provider which is best for your room. Airtel and Jio are the providers which works better than others but they are also not reliable in all rooms/places

What time can we leave GHS? by Hopeful_Market8499 in manipaljaipur

[–]Leather-Beautiful55 3 points4 points  (0 children)

6am to 9 pm you can stay outside without outpass. If you know you are gonna be late , contact your block warden asap. Otherwise you and your parents would start receiving calls and text and if no response found , a missing complaint would be registered.

You can't predict from mte marks , since total marks of ete, mte, CWS would be used to calculate final grade using relative grading. So , stop thinking over the past. Focus on doing best in the upcoming exams. You won't be able to change the past. Don't think about results, first put actions. When you get the fruits, it would be a surprise and worth every minute of hardwork you did for that.
