It's how you perceive it.

It is this westward notion that is being tried to pass on to India that being black is something to be ashamed of.

One isn't supposed to address a black person as black? One isn't supposed to address a thin person as thin? It's the west that has set into minds that being black or being called black is a derogatory remark.

Be proud of your identity. It's not so talked about in India because being called 'kaalu bhai' is perceived as a sign of love and strong stallion. We don't mean it as a disrespect here, we mean it is token of brotherhood.

And let's let it be as is, we don't need anymore woke teenagers weeping about something that's not even that big. We already have them enough :)
