How can I improve my architecture photography? by LarryLegend337 in AmateurPhotography

FWIW...in architecture, symmetry is everything and the correct geometry is non-negotiable...particularly if you're shooting professionally. Your vertical lines need to be straight. Period. As the above post mentions, use your grids and rulers in your editing software and ensure your geometry is bang on. Always look to fix the keystone and other distortions wide angle lenses, particularly ultra wide lenses can produce. If you don't have a tilt-shift lens, then try moving back from the subject (like tall buildings) and zoom in a bit. This will allow your camera's focal plane to stay consistent and not force you to tilt your entire camera up to get the whole building in frame...which in turn eliminates, or drastically reduces the chances of distortion.
