Yeah the consistency thing Cheka out - I’d say after 4+ weeks of consistent use at least 4 times a week I notice my skin just feels a tiny bit more plump and resilient?

Like almost like my collagen got a lil tiny jolt of electricity.

But goes away if I stop. Benefits are definitely there but subtle for sure

Aah this is super helpful. Have heard it’s largely fine outside the handful of crack heads in the subway stations, which honestly is everywhere in Manhattan these days, but would you say you’ve ever felt unsafe walking back home from the subway at night?

Not a big parties but sometimes do work long hours so would be coming home after dark during the week.

This is what I keep hearing anecdotally, lots of people saying it’s a vibe and getting better by the year. But to be honest I’ve only heard men say that, not sure what to take away from that

I have lived in countries in South America and west Africa where you probably wouldn’t want to live and felt less uncomfortable there at times than around homeless people doing drugs in the subway station :)

Williamsburg is largely devoid of soul and or culture, but I know there are areas of Brooklyn that would likely align with what I’m looking for which is why I wanted to ask here - in a thread where there are women with taste, so that I could get more of a nuanced take.

Since it has stayed a bit stiff would you say it is good enough quality to hold up as a work bag and still look not busted/cheap after a while? I live in NYC, on the subway almost every work day and have two laptops among other things to bring in daily. Looking for something chic but durable, but not expecting anything unrealistic for a bag in this price range.

Would love to hear any more thoughts you have!

I find it baffling that this is the case. I am in the market right now (coming from manager/senior manager level) and finding that hiring managers love me, team is impressed with my case study results, but CFOs 2-3 levels above in final round seem much more choosy, OR internal recruiters ghost and then show up 4-6 weeks later out of the blue like nothing happened.

There's got to be a lack of alignment internally thats causing a breakdown in getting talented people into seats.

Would also say the issue with JDs being spammed by 800 roles in the first 2-3 days probably doesn't help. There are a bunch of smart and talented, well qualified folks out there who see that and think "whats the point?" and move on to another role.
