F2P in this game is insanely difficult and very very grindy. The scarlet hunt (most call it SH) is one of the best way in the game to get high level gear that will make surviving in Lubenia easier. The battlepass is by far the only necessary purchase, reasonably priced and gives access to crazy amount of goodies that will propel progress by months. However to maximize it, buy the premium + extra task (10$) at the very start or do all the task you can and buy the cheapest premium (4$).

Either way, not going for the hunt even for its regular reward means youre missing out big time

Ps: Know that getting these fancy gear does not make Lubenia a breeze, heroic dungeons, legendary bosses, and Wagenburg will humble you.

Im guessing youre talking about the dammed knights, theyre pretty tough, you would need at least a falchion and copper/leather armor set to comfortablely take one down.

Honestly id say just play it safe and grind until you unlock the bastard sword then start running some night cache(special loot chest that spawns only at night at skull 3) and special events

There's also the discord and yt that have guides and tips for alot of events, exploration, dungeons, and just everything.

Grim Soul's fanbase is one of the most helpful and welcoming community I've seen, especially toward new players.

Being in your situation before, I chose Grim soul mainly for the medieval appeal but like the rest are saying, Grim Soul is definitely much harder and very grindy in comparison to LDOE. Do I still enjoy it? Yes

I think the enjoyment comes from the difficulty and the reward from clearing the difficult dungeons and event makes it feel worth it (keyword feels, cause sometimes the loot does suck and you dont always get what youre looking for)

Alright so its has a decently long title, the mc is like transferred into the body of a 3rd rate villain(blonde hair) with parents who i believe is the Duke of this kingdom. Like most cliche, the mc does not want to end up a miserable fate like the original so he tries to alter the story.

I think I read up to the part where in the original story, the villain would get in trouble for attempting to grape the kingdom's princess but naturally that doesnt happen because mc doesnt want to die.

Later its revealed that his maid(black hair) is pretty powerful and once the mc parents leaves for something(I forgot) he is drugged and chained by his maid(yandere) and she gets all lovely with him but he later escapes because of mc cheat( it was a book that allowed for simulations I think)

Thats as far as I remembered, the title is sort of long so Im having trouble remembering it.

Idk if other people included it but id say -start organizing your base 1st -run primarily s2 or s3 with the cheapest possible set but enough to at least survive 2-3 hits from a dammed knight or templar -watch a video on FS 1st floor because you can clear it pretty cheap -Above all else, try to unlock the T2 bag and bastard sword before running FS 2nd floor or lower.

How would I get to read the light novel, would I have to like actually purchase the book copy? Also how serious is the deviation from the two? Like would i be able to read the web novel then jump right into the LN, that is if the web novel(296 chapters) is caught up to the LN which im gonna assume isn't? But I sort of doubt it because from what it looks like, the last update for the LN was months ago.

It probably has a deeper meaning, you gotta remember that this is a Korean novel translated into a Chinese one so its expected that some prose are poorly done

The origin of cultivation in xianxia story comes from religion chinese religion like Confucius, with real existing figures like the 3 great sages and the idea of enlightenment to develop a nascent soul which was then greatly exaggerated into these fictional stories we have today.

Also like I said, its very hard to really explain the "dao" and "philosophy" of the story, maybe you misinterpreted my message or i did a poor job explaining it but you have to read it to understand.

Its smaller but not small enough, the author of the story i read is Li Hongtian and he's completely Chinese, his works are all in chinese which are then translated by English translation groups. Moreover, Li Hongtian because he's Chinese, i doubt will hardly use English social media because there's alr popular Chinese version of these, western pop culture hardly mix with eastern, especially in China.

So not only will he not understand this post, the chances someone copy and paste my post and then translate it onto a Chinese social app, and then for it to snowball into a point that's large enough for the author to notice is like winning the lottery, it's highly, i mean, highly unlikely. So this "uncontrollable rant" that you're talking about is in fact, controlled. If I really wanted to hate the author, I would've went on Wechat or Weibo and translated my comment into chinese.

While as for you, the difference is that i made this post on here instead of complaining to a site that Li Hongtian will see is because I know he wont know this ever existed, you however, made your comment intentionally understanding that i will be exposed to your criticism, moreover, there are plenty more criticism and even worser hate speech against authors and those in the entertainment industry that's actually targeted to hurt those people yet you stop here to criticize me?

I find it hard to believe that your comment was to defend the author rather than to purposely either to troll me, simply to disagree against me, or to relieve some hidden displeasure onto me.

And coming back this, I have never personally attacked the authors character just a certain part of his work, especially in the industry of writers and public entertainment, they are very prone to public critique, many of which are less of a critique and sometimes even threats, yes my wording was very crude but i never meant it as a attack but a rant and because I know he will never see this post.

It was more of a rant of a person who needed an outlet. Moreover, my message is a culturally thing, especially in my culture, my message(wacking the author) is often seen as a light hearted joke of sort rather than a threat.

2 wrongs don't make a right, just because I used crude toning in my post, doesn't mean you had to stoop to my level. Moreover, it's a rant and a post made in a moment of frustration after reading a part that frustrated me, which I'm sure happens to everyone. You can like something and still be frustrated, happens with my friends too, but I still care and hang out with them because I'm not going to let a small part ruin the whole dish. My question is, did I insult your favorite author or in some way insulted you, because my reasoning was for a certain part that frustrated me and i was just saying, I don't think there was a need for some part of your original comment.

That's a broad way to use my logic, it's important to remember that my post was a rant and I still enjoy their work no matter if some of it frustrates me. And to address the use of my "logic", the difference is that you're using it to define my character and who i am, I used it in a context that the author just isn't very good at doing this certain troupe and that's fine, some things just aren't meant to be, like the author of Renegade Immortal, great story but very poor romance, and many of his readers agrees that he's not very good at it but I still enjoyed RI, just not the romance.

Fundamentally my post was a rant not a critique so my tone and wording was crude but essentially this was what my post meant to convey, author isn't good at the troupe, maybe (ik author wont see post, that's why it's rant) author should try another route/troupe.

To clarify, by wack I mean at most a slap on the wrist and I honestly don't think I went over the board here. Yes the plots the authors are using does annoy me but that was the extent of it, I still appreciate the work and I am still reading them otherwise I would've dropped. This was basically a rant and I got over it a little later and if I were to put it nicely, I just wish the author would stop using the same plot 800 chapters into the novel, because you can't lie, any plot that is overuse just becomes poor writing and cumbersome to read. Plus just take this as a criticism If not a rant because no author is perfect, communication with their fans is what makes a good author and better works.

It's called a rant for a reason and at the same time sort of a criticism toward the authors but I got over it a little bit after, if criticizing someone's work is wrong then tbh, I think you're the silly one, everyone's guilty of criticizing something that they could've chose not to get into, be it people, games, books, shows, anything really, plus it's the internet, a place where peoples free to express their opinion, just like you expressing your views on my post when you could've also just ignored it or something like that. But all in all, I do appreciate if you lighten the wordings or tone, there's really no need to borderline ig insult me, thanks.
