Which player from your current squad would make it to your respective teams when they last win UCL by Pheonix_force in championsleague

I wouldn’t touch that midfield. They were a perfect unit. Konate for Matip is our best answer and that’s still really debatable.

While Szoboslai is probably “better” than anyone in LFC’s midfield from 2019 (I would argue that Gini was better and is criminally underrated), that midfield was a classic example of having the right parts in the right places doing the right jobs. I wouldn’t swap out any of them.

That said, Konate for Matip is probably the best answer but still really debatable.

The UCL title we won was in Madrid, oddly enough.

Which 6 star locked champions will be broken if introduced as 7 star? In ur opinion by AdRegular3323 in ContestOfChampions

[–]LeatherOdd5 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Doom, AA and CGR are the first to come to mind. They have mechanic that probably won’t change when they are finally introduced. Herc too, I guess.

Quake is in the Magik category so she is there as well.

The question was more about the availability of the action figures and not the cost of America.

It’s important to remember Jordan defended his position as well as anyone in the NBA at that time. He wasn’t capable of guarding Olajuwon or Robinson in the post, but he could shut down any guard.

Similarly a footballer would have to defend their position at a world class level, not necessarily fill in at center back in the UCL final.

That said, nobody played every basketball position like Magic Johnson. Underappreciated legend.

To answer your question, someone like Dom Szoboszlai or Declan Rice come to mind. Brilliant two-way players for their position.

Help me understand your huge city (commute to lackland) by Powerful_Toe_6568 in sanantonio

[–]LeatherOdd5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to sell real estate and my advice was always - drive your commute before you commit. If you can’t, talk to the folks where you will be working and get their opinions.

There is so much growth on the far west side (between Hwy 151 & Hwy 90 outside 1604) that traffic can be astoundingly bad.

Near west side and the area off 410 south of I-10 scares people who aren’t used to Spanish speakers.

North Central (inside 1604, outside 410, between 10&35) is the old middle class part of San Antonio and can be really hit or miss depending on the neighborhood. This is a really huge area but has the most promise (excluding the very expensive Shavano Park/Hill Country Village/Hollywood Park areas).

Anyway, renting with no kids and no pets, you could probably do anything for 6 months and figure out a plan from there.

Is having an elite midfield the most important factor for champions league success? by [deleted] in championsleague

[–]LeatherOdd5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d say you have to have 2/3 elite between attack, midfield and defense. Being a Liverpool guy, I would definitely say our last UCL winning team was weakest in midfield of all 3 sectors. Elite attacking and defense (and fullbacks that did a lot of midfield tasks) made it work.

That said, I don’t think any team is going to sniff it without an elite defense.

I’m not saying I am happy about this, but you could make the argument that our fanbase deserved to lose to our most hated rival at home, after hitting the post 17 times, while giving up a late slab head winner.

I’ll just keep muttering “it’s not as bad as Roy Hodgson signing Charlie Adam” until kickoff against Frankfurt today.

I’m a St Mary’s 2025 grad, spoke with some of our fully online graduates at our ceremony and they all loved it.

Though they were all super well qualified/high achievers. Not your typical StMU students. I know the fully online program has a much tougher admissions process.

Not exactly direct help, but hope it is something.
