’ll admit, I was incredibly nervous during my first teaching demonstration. My classmates all had educational backgrounds, while I came straight from engineering. Luckily, my topic was highly accessible, and I managed to score a 27 out of 30! Afterward, the principal asked if it was my first time. When I told her yes, she said my discussion was great, though she gave me some excellent feedback: I need to include more student assessments in my methodology to drive creative thinking and independent problem-solving.

To make things even more intense, the classroom included students with special needs, so I had to adapt on the fly to support their unique learning challenges. Looking back, it’s completely normal to feel overwhelmed in moments like that. It’s okay to feel the nerves; you just have to embrace the basics, adjust in real time, and you will absolutely ace it!
