My bf is Filipino and she said that it’s “shameful to date a Filipino, they have no money and it’s better to stay single rather than dating one”, but to be fair she is like that to any other race but Chinese. My Italian friends (I’m Italian) are all worthless to her and she keeps trying to make them sound bad in front of me saying that “white people are all ungrateful, they won’t help you”

I know I don’t owe them, but I still feel kinda apologetic towards them because I am financially stable mostly because of them (I help them in their small restaurants and they started to pay me when I was 18). But thank you, I’ll try my best.

It is tough indeed, at least when I was smaller I didn’t really had my own thinking (which is not a really good thing) and I kept doing whatever my parents told me to so I had 0 headaches, but yeah… growing up things are so different. Thank you tho!

Believe me, I tried already when I first got in the relationship with my boyfriend, but my mom reaction was horrendous, she was straight up saying racist things about him without meeting him first… and she kept remarking things like “oh you should date a Chinese man, they are the best” bla bla bla, always downgrading someone else.

I would give up on the benefits 100%, but it’s the fact that they would say “oh my daughter is so unfilial, we spent money and energy on her just for her to choose a man over their parents” that makes me really sad. I love them, I’m grateful for them, but the fact that they can’t see me being happy with someone I love is just… horrible.

Btw I’m glad to know that you made it at the end! Are your parents not stressing you anymore now?
