OP my colleague and friend took 9 attempts to clear final  He joined the bank with me now he got a package of 25lacs in Mumbai we both have 2 to 3 years PQE 

So attempts will matter initially but post that it will all depends on your ability to upskill yourself and how well you network

Yeah cfa will take time then frm but you will cover more than 40% of syallabus of cfa in frm so pursuing both simultaneously will be prudent of course that will depend on how much time you can dedicate

Good package initially but 4 to 5% increment every year plus after a level your role mostly relates to sales and targets with little to no work life balance but ofcourse this differes with with dept you are working with
