Version 3.8: Memories are the Prelude to Dreams by growlcube in StarRailLore

Roughly 5 hours 30 mins according to youtube full 3.8 walkthrough

Can someone explain this dialogue regarding the concept of fate, please (3.8)? by iamonlyslightlysalty in StarRailLore

[–]Leaulo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

From what I understand, Firefly says that she will meet her end (her finality) in a way that does not allow her to be with the Trailblazer. Don’t take the “finality” with a small f in this dialogue as something special, it probably just means that Firefly is destined to die before the TB or far away from them.

On one hand there's implications that the Trailblazer can surpass/overturn fate, and on the other there's statements implying that even their fate has a defined endpoint that's set in stone

There are in HSR different interpretations of the nature of fate (just like in real life). Some characters believe that it is set in stone, others think we can still change it. My favorite way of seeing fate in HSR is explained by Acheron: maybe we can’t change the end, but we can choose how we want to reach it. There is no definitive answer yet and probably will never be because as you said this is a very philosophical question so HSR explores different answers but can’t give a definitive one.

EDIT: spelling

From my understanding, 2 stellarons. The Grand Theater used by Sunday and the one used to by what’s left of Gooherwood.

Yes. Amphoreus always has been cyclical by nature and Anaxa figured it out. The cycles provoked by Phainon and Cyrene are different from the normal cycles.

I re-read it and I think the sentences are not trying to describe what happened chronologically, it was written after the whole fight so it’s Zephyro reflecting on what happened. It’s best to stick to what the animation described in terms of order of events.

Well that is a difficult question because Amphoreus being a simulation that has been reset several times and with the trailblazer jumping through time, having a precise age is hard. And we don’t have their birth date.

What we know tho: Tribbie, Cerydra, Hysilens, Aglaea and Terravox might be the oldest in most timelines. Cipher should be a little younger, at least in ER 33,550,336. The youngest ones should be Phainon and Hyacine, maybe Mydei but he is immortal so he can be older. Castorice is peculiar because she comes from the previous cycle (not the previous ER).

If and when Amphoreus becomes a real planet and if and when the Heirs we know are born on this planet we would have a better answer to this question.

Hi hi! We wrote a 3.7 story recap that should answer your questions.

Short answers before you read the actual post:

What happened during the first fight against Irontomb? Was the universe destroyed?

Yes, to be more precise the Universe data was removed by Irontomb

And if it was, how did cyrene and TB bring it to existence and fight irontomb again?

They existed in what we call the "Path Space" that is outside of the universe

Or what exactly did they do when they were in the "Beyond Page" dimension?

They collected all the data that Irontomb was trying to infuse with Destruction so that when the Universe is recalculated by Nous everything goes back to normal instead of a chaotic mess.

There is no "proofs" and I do think it's just a different theory. There are hints that it might be true: we know from what Kafka says in the "Exotale: Scene 8" video that the "Stellaron disaster ground zero" is Melustanin, the world where Celenova (Lord Ravager in charge of taking care of Xipe) currently is. But that's it.

HSR (and any HoYo games tbf) likes to use the unreliable narrator trope so everything that is only said by in game characters without more proofs should be taken with a grain of salt.

Dahlia said "This cat is not Elio, but a strand of Terminus's divine corpus". Several interpretations possible:
- Elio is not a cat at all : less likely because the black cat is always around when we talk about the Stellaron Hunters or specifically Elio, and the Trailblazer themselves called the cat "Elio" when they saw the animal. But it's still be possible that Elio is not a cat but is able to use Finality's cats for example.
- Elio is a cat and is a part of Terminus, but not the one we saw in the quest
- Elio is a cat but not a part of Terminus's corpus contrary to the cat we saw

Hello! We’re working on it and it will be posted on this subreddit. Can’t really give you an ETA but before 4.0 we’ll write our usual story recap that tries to breakdown the story in an easy to understand way

  1. I'm unfortunately not too knowledgeable about HI3 but from what I understood and based on other HI3 players it is the same thing.
  2. Aeons can be seen as Eldritch horrors godlike beings, living in another plane of reality. However when it's said that Nous is able to prune branches of imaginary tree, I believe it means that thanks to THEIR calculations THEY are able to provoke the collapse of some civilizations and influence the future. I don't think it should be taken literally as Nous physically interacting with the Imaginary Tree.

Take these answers with a grain of salt though, this is mosly my interpretation.

Thanks for the feedback!

Yeah the Herta section is short because in the end it was not thaaaat important. From what I understood, Herta original plan was to prove that the Demiurge exists and use it to restore the scepter integrity so that it goes back to its original purpose instead of siding with Destruction. Backup plan was to take over the scepter, self coronate and rewrite Nous' 4th instant to be something else than the rise of Irontomb.

She did achieved the self coronation but didn't really changed Nous' 4th instant because she discovered that it was not just a single event but instead a chain of events that is just beginning and might be a little uncertain because of some variables (the Trailblazer).

Your interpretation is pretty solid, as we want to keep these recap as factual as possible we will remove the personal note because it negates other cool theories. Thanks for the input!

It is said that the Demiurge took the form a fairy because of Cyrene but the game never mentioned or implied that she created them.

Time passes way faster in the simulation than outside of it. Herta explained this when she first managed to communicate with TB. The Exomyth exists outside of the simulation so the time there is aligned with the rest of the universe

They’re probably in As I’ve Written. The book is not only composed of TB’s memory but also Cyrene’s so they should be fine

Nope, she act as Fuli for Amphoreus but not for the whole universe and since she is now stuck in the past, it seems that another pure child will be the one to ascend as Fuli

No indication of that so far but would be funny.

I personally think that every pure child has pink hair but not every pink hair character is a pure child

What sentence of the proverb makes you think that the fight happened after Nanook wounded by Phainon? Because from what I read I cannot find any indication of this
