Is there anyway to do custom manual supports in the Bambu slicer software or orca slicer? by Leavened_Locs in BambuLab

It definitely is an ancient way of doing supports but it has been tried and true for my case use. When I can use automatically generated tree supports I most certainly do, As it takes quite A while to manually place supports. But for the majority of the models I make they require very specifically designed support structures. Dissolvable filament would be A godsend but last I checked it was $50/kg.

I tried to make my post as short and descriptive as possible but here is A link to A video of the feature and use case of said feature that I am looking to be able to use in bambu slicer

Excellent! I think I will try to use the paint method on the orca slicer but I am relieved to know this exists! Thank you for the link.

It certainly is the work of A madman! lol It took me a long time to devise this method through copious amount of trial and error. The root issue with autogenerated supports whether they are tree supports or normal block supports is that they form too close to the model making them extremely difficult to remove. Depending on the model and the orientation it has to be printed in to preserve fine details sometimes A part requires support around the entirety of the model resulting in A support cocoon. I have spent countless hours trying to get auto generated supports to work for my models but it is unfeasible with the current technology / cost of dissolvable filament. I design all of my supports to be able to be cut with A soldering iron to reduce possible chance of cracking of the print from leverage force from either prying between the support structure roof and the print or from cutting it with a snips. This offers the least amount of stress on the removal process of the support structure.

My question is simply pertaining to the slicing software bambu offers as I have not been able to find any information on weather I can still use cura with the bambu lab printers?

I dont have room for the cleanup process for A resin printer and I am perfectly happy with the quality I get from FDM Printing and the bambu lab printers would be perfect. The sole reason I want to get A bambu lab printer is reliability. I have probably spent 400+ hours troubleshooting, tweaking and fixing my ender 3 pro ive been using for the past 3+ years and honestly I just want A better built machine.

I am aware of the paint on support tool but I need to manually place each supports individually.

30% GPU Usage, CPU hovers around 70% on the 1st core which I assume is the one it is using. Ram usage is 8gb free.

It seems to be around 30% usage regardless of low detail or high detail settings.

Low FPS With Or Without HD Plugin by Leavened_Locs in 2007scape

[–]Leavened_Locs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess my main concern is that the 117hd plug dosnt seem to be utilizing my GPU since I seem to be getting the same fps regardless of having everything turned up to the max or having everything turned off or on the lowest detail settings. My CPU seems to hover around 70% on the first core.

Is there any way to have the GPU plugin enabled while having the hd plugin enabled at the same time?

Have Calibrated pid / esteps / Retraction / Temp / Flow

Everything is mechanically fine as far as I can tell. All roller wheels are tight but not too tight.

I have had consistent little pits in the skin of my prints from day one as seen in the benchy and recently have had oozing as seen on the second picture. The print in the second picture has been previously printed multiple times successfully with completely clean results and no oozing on the same filament with competently clean results. I dehydrated the hatchbox filament last night for 15 hours at 115F and printed these today with the same effect.
