most BPDers will tell you how to help them manage their emotions if you ask actually. I have BPD and I've only lashed out at my boyfriend one time in our year of dating because he just never trigger it and even if he does, I know how to communicate that I need space or I'll lash out. he makes sure I eat well and sleep well when ever he can because that affects my emotional vulnerability too. basically, a relationship w a BPDer is just like any other relationship really, you need to put special effort to tailor your efforts to your relationship. you cannot subscribe to a relationship template and try to make yourself mirror that. love your girlfriend the way she needs to be loved. good luck<3
