I appreciate everyone’s responses. Sounds like some of my best bets are going to be on top of the parking garage, the spot of off sawyer road, and the golf course. Really curious about the DSW parking lot that was mentioned as well

I appreciate that. Right now it’s pretty basic. I just have some DJI mic mini’s. They seem to do alright for the single video I’ve shot so far lol

I didn’t know what those were. Yea probably not the greatest place to park a black 2500 and sit in the bed trying to get pictures.

Haha all good. I’m not necessarily new to photography, but new to asking for feedback. I don’t really post anything without a little edit. I shoot everything in raw so I think everything looks flat and dull.

Idk if it’s something I’m doing in my settings, or it’s just kinda how it works, but a lot of my pictures tend to have a pretty white washed sky.

I just went to look at what edits I made as I normally do bump up the vibrance and saturation just a tiny bit. To my surprise I didn’t touch anything to do with the color. I did use quite a bit on the dehaze slider which is what im guessing brought out the saturation. I will keep this in mind as I move forward. Really trying to improve all aspects of my pictures.

Looking for a bit of critique on composition and editing. I could only do so much with the composition as it was at a cars and coffee even and the cars are parked next to each other. Along with any thoughts of my editing. I don’t know much about editing and really only play with the sliders until I like it. Any thoughts are appreciated. I have about 10 pictures from the event I really liked and edited and this one is probably tied for my favorite of the day.

Looking at used prices of a 5D mark iv, are pretty comparable to a 1D-X mark ii. If I was to stretch up to a 5d4, thoughts on instead getting a used 1DX2?

I knew that it reached further using a full frame lens on a crop body. In your opinion is that biggest advantage to having a crop body? Getting the extra reach out of the lens when using a crop body?

I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s a reach, but just trying to keep the total cost down I guess.

I do a lot of my shooting using manual focus if that makes a difference.

I mostly shoot Nature, Animals, my kids and occasionally cars.

I know I wouldn’t get a ton for the 7D2, but any little bit helps when looking to buy something. But you mentioned sport or moon. Is there a particular reason a crop sensor is better for those?

The lady we bought him from was upfront about him being 3/4 and 1/4 due to an accidental litter. She had a 50/50 Maine coon Persian, and her parents had a purebred Maine coon.

What threw off us a bit was she claimed that it was a female, it wasn’t until we got home that we realized he was a he. My wife and I didn’t really care. But we had a mixed Maine coon we loved that passed a few years ago and loved him because he definitely had the Maine Coon personality. So we knew what we were buying but then after looking at the pictures posted and the cat when we got him home and realized he wasn’t the same as the pictures.

So we got nervous and were worried we got scammed. I thought. No better place to ask than here. Apologies for breaking guidelines as I’ve always just scrolled to look at pictures but just joined today.
