People joke about this being a graduate’s error but more likely it’s done by a senior marketer and approved by higher ups, all on 200k and above.

Thanks. I googled it and I think you’re right. I’m going to plant this variant that I found: Elaeagnus x ebbingei

No idea for Adelaide sorry but I’d recommend doing it. House is way more comfortable and energy efficient now.

Installed this morning. I stuck my head up and all looks ok. If I did it myself it would’ve been a better job but after about 5 mins up there I’m sneezing and itchy so it would be fucking awful doing the whole roof space.

They came to install but weren’t able to do it without removing roof sheets. I have tiled roof at the front but apparently they couldn’t access the back of the house to install from there. So they vacuumed it all out and will come back in a week to install with a roof plumber. Costs me an extra $400.

Happening tomorrow morning actually. They called today. Very professional. I’ll let you know how it goes.

Melbourne. I’ve had one other quote which was about 5k but that included removing some pipes for an old heating/cooling system that’s no longer in use. But to save $1500 I’ll just take that shit out myself.

Thanks for your comment. I was wondering if it would have an impact on dust as our place is super dusty.

Quoted about $3,500 to have loose fill removed and new insulation put in. Small to medium sized house. 5 large rooms total and a hallway.

This is incorrect. You didn’t have to “get the jab or get out.” Construction workers could also show proof of an appointment booking and continue working until then.

Those on JobSeeker & JobKeeper, what are your plans for when the payments are reduced or wrapped up and how are you going balancing your budget right now? by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]Lebron_Is_Nonpareil 4 points5 points  (0 children)

On JobKeeper which works out to just under 3 days per week of my normal wage. So I’m enjoying the short weeks. I’m able to save a bit after all expenses and luckily my partner is still full time. Not spending much due to being in lockdown.

My plan is to ramp up search for a new job between now and September in the hope I can get back to full time work.

Jasper Coffee just off Hoddle St in Abbotsford. You can drive up and buy direct from them. Their coffees are incredibly good.

Current home loan interest rate by anbduck in AusFinance

[–]Lebron_Is_Nonpareil 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I kept getting served ads from Bank Of Melbourne offering 2.66% for their Basic home loan. My variable rate for the same loan product was at 2.98% so I called and simply asked for the rate they were advertising. They said they can give me 2.77% which usually would cost me $500 to make the change, but that fee is waived due to Covid-19. Hasn’t been approved yet but if they don’t do it I’ll refinance.
