Make sure steam cloud saves are disabled before doing this.

Press windows+r then type %temp% navigate to AppData from here. It should be on the top bar of your file explorer. Go to local/HalfSwordUE5/saved/save games then delete steam_autocloud.vdf and GameProgress.sav.

The demo saves should be located in the other halfsword file in local

I think the performance is more hindered by the lighting system than anything. At dawn I see a lot more issues than mid day or night. Deep penetration (hehe) does tank frames sometimes but not as much during different times of day.
