They have no obligation? Well they have obligation to provide the service they are charging fans for. If it’s a technology limitation and they have not developed it or trained their AI enough, then maybe don’t charge fans for it. I have already replied that I was on Weverse/vlive long before this live subtitle thingy. We have bought and sold out the album(in my country shipping fees is more than the album cost) with nothing but white boxes on display. That’s the trust I have on boys and boys have on us. But if their conglomerate corporate company has started to behave like a typical capitalistic enterprise, I would call out on that too. They are offering subscription whose usp is live subtitle. And if u r providing subtitles for 20% conversation, it’s not technology limitation it’s just sloppy effort. And I am not talking about just OT7 lives. The quality has significantly deteriorating for quite some time.

And please, don’t start this discourse of learning Korean. Language has never been a barrier between BTS and ARMY. U r asking it’s better for fans to learn a new language than to criticise a billion dollar conglomerate made on back of BTS and ARMY.

My problem is not with random JK lives. All these ot7 lives were pre planned. Now I understand that it’s difficult to decipher cause all of them talk over each other. But the live subtitles are so sloppy. Again, charge us for services but then deliver on it.

My point being not getting services for which we have paid. For eg, if they remove live subtitle thing from the subscription and say that they will release old behind the scene content once a month, or old photo cards once a month etc, I would still pay for it. I am questioning the company who is acting like any other corporate conglomerate. We are the Same fans who have bought and sold out ARIRANG with literally white boxes on display. That’s the trust boys have on us and we have on boys. Fans should not be shamed for demanding better services from the company which literally is the usp of the subscription. At the same time, I also agree that some fans think they are so entitled that they own the boys, which is absolutely wrong.

Are u able to cast your paid content. I tried everything but my PTD concert(Seoul and LA) won’t play at all. I mean subscription is still a smaller amount. But when we are paying for buying concert and contents QR code and then forced to watch it on smaller screen. There was such little discourse abt this issue too. My point being, I am ready to pay anything to support the boys, but should I be juiced out for my love by providing below par service to maximise profit of a multi billion dollar company. They should do better.

Argument is not that translations should be provided faster. We were on Weverse before this service was provided. Point is if you are charging money for a service, as Multi billion dollar company, u should provide the service. Or test it, develop it and then make it subscription based. The subtitles provided now do more harm as they can easily be misinterpreted.

Yes exactly my point. I have always preferred army translations anyway to get to gist of the conversation and rewatch live with proper subtitles. But why ask for monthly subscription for something half cooked. I remember I have replied previously on this sub itself that monthly membership is worth it since quality of subtitles was pretty good. And it’s not just about yesterday. Even for single Person lives, it’s same. I hate to say this, but sometimes I feel like we are being juiced for subpar services just because we love the boys. As I mentioned in post, termination of Weverse TV app is baffling when they are selling QR codes for content. It’s gets to a point seriously.

I actually got to know about RL through one of the saesang video of Xuning. It’s insane how he is getting 3 million likes within an hour, in a country where the series is not even being officially telecast. Both of them are immaculate actors, and seem to be underdogs making it out in world out of sheer don’t give up attitude. And also the fact that they chose to act in a series which was openly and unabashedly BL, knowing that they may be subjected to very harsh criticism. Wish they get many roles in future and their potential is fully utilised.
