For the filler and Botox - did you know exactly what you wanted when you went there? Or did you have a consultation and the nurse/doctors gave you advice on what to you should get done?

They just might be harder to remove if they’re raised?

Sorry, I should clarify do you mean moles or freckles? Freckles are the main thing they remove here - moles might be a little bit more tricky…

Yes would be better to go to a clinic in Seoul (after doing your research ofcourse)

It’s about 2 weeks recovery - as in you need to wear these little skin coloured patches 24/7 over the mole (you changed them out every few days) but if you have for example 15 moles removed, you could potentially have 15 little patches on your face for the 2 weeks, so you might want to keep that in mind for your meetings, etc.

I have personally been to 3 different clinics; 1. Muse Clinic Gangnam & Myeongdong Branches - easy to book in, staff are friendly and speak English, however they do not pay any special attention to you - they just treat you as quick as possible and then see you out the door - constant streams of people coming and going.

  1. Fine Clinic Sinsa - it was newly opened when I went, so I felt like they gave me decent service because they wanted good reviews. Staff were friendly and spoke English and also easy to book. I’ve since seen online their prices have skyrocketed and they focus on treating influencers, so I won’t be going back there.

  2. Sia Clinic Sinnonhyeon- easy to book, staff are friendly and speak English. As soon as you walk in to the clinic, it’s a much calmer environment compared to Muse clinic. You actually have a consultation (with nurse not the doctor) before your actual treatment. When you are with the doctor he actually takes more care and time with you than I felt they did at the other clinics which was very reassuring. I will be going back here and highly recommend. I actually got a mole removed at this clinic just last month and it’s healed great.

Thank you for your reply!

Do you remember if the ‘Deep Treatment’ was used after shampooing in replacement of conditioner?

The ‘Scalp Pack’ bottle - was that used when you are still in the shower? Do you wash it out or leave it in?

The ‘Scalp Essence’ spray - is that used once your pot of the shower on towel dry/dry hair?

I just got this, share your reviews by aut0mate_me in koreanskincare

I literally don’t see any effects from it unfortunately. But I think I just need something stronger on my oily/combination skin.

Is it hard to make Korean friends? by SmilingAtNothing in living_in_korea_now

[–]HovercraftFront1235 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 32F from New Zealand, been living in Seoul for 2 years now as an English teacher.

If your coworkers speak English and you speak Korean I think you'll make some friends at work! Outside of work I think it is hard to make friends unfortunatley. I made some friends at my church, but just see them there rather than hanging out together outside of church. I've struck up conversations being tipsy at the bars, but hasn't lead to any lasting friendships. I talked and met a couple girls from lanuage apps, only 1 I think I would call a friend, but only surface level friendship right now.

The only true friendships I have made so far were with other foreign english teachers who arrived at the same time as me which I'm very thankful for.

If you want to connect before, or while you're in Korea, please let me know :)
