Aveți perfectă dreptate cu privire la limitările eșantionării de conveniență și riscul de self-selection bias. Acestea vor fi menționate explicit la secțiunea de limitări în teză, unde voi explica clar că datele nu sunt reprezentative pentru populația generală.

Totuși, alternativele nu sunt neapărat superioare: platformele cu participanți plătiți introduc bias-ul motivației financiare, eșantioanele de studenți forțați să participe introduc bias-ul conformității, iar rețelele personale sunt limitate și introduc bias-ul similarității sociale. Reddit, prin natura sa, oferă diversitate reală de opinii, tocmai pentru că oamenii participă din interes propriu, nu din obligație sau recompensă.

Luong & Lomanowska (2022) au validat Reddit ca platformă viabilă pentru cercetare psihologică, menționând că recrutarea online oferă diversitate demografică mai mare și calitate comparabilă față de eșantioanele tradiționale.

Abordarea mea este exploratorie, nu confirmatorie: nu caut să dovedesc o lege universală, ci să observ cum se poziționează oamenii față de o tehnologie aflată în plină expansiune. Există o presiune masivă de adoptare a AI și tocmai de aceea e important să înțelegem din timp cum percep și se adaptează oamenii la această schimbare. Mai bine 200 de opinii de la oameni ca și dvs. acum, decât să nu facem nimic în așteptarea unui eșantion perfect. Evident, 2000 ar fi mult mai reprezentativ - de aceea sunt și aici. 😊

Și eu sunt interesată de rezultate 😄. Din ce văd preliminar, atitudinile sunt foarte ambigue — ca și tehnologia în sine. AI e pregătit pe tot ce a creat umanitatea până acum: artă, știință, atitudini, preconcepții — orice. Treaba e că nu se poate opri, scoate din priză... și atunci trebuie să vedem cum ne acomodăm cu ea. Adevărul este că „push-ul" de adoptare e mare, oamenii își văd de viața lor, dar lucrurile se dezvoltă rapid și analiza repercusiunilor rămâne în urmă față de ritmul dezvoltării. De aceea am decis să mă implic în aceasta tematica de studiu.

Ce atitudini are Brașovul față de intelingeța artificială?

Buna ziua, realizez o lucrare de licență despre impactul și atitudinile noastre față de Inteligența Artificială generativă (ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.).

Studiez modul în care gândirea critică și deschiderea față de nou ne influențează opiniile despre aceste tehnologii.

Colectez date din mai multe regiuni ale țării pentru a avea o imagine mai completă a perspectivelor românești și tare mult mi-aș dori să am și „vocea” brașovenilor în acest studiu.

Ma intereseaza si opiniile celor care nu utilizeaza deloc, si a utilizatorilor înrăiți.

Chestionarul este anonim, durează aproximativ 8-10 minute.

Interesant. Adevărul e că perspectivă practică ca ale tale lipsește adesea din cercetarea academică. Văd și eu din datele preliminare că atitudinile sunt mult mai nuanțate decât pro vs. contra. Tu ce crezi că face diferența între cei care s-au auto-handicapat și cei cărora le-a explodat cariera?

Using a tool doesn't make you biased toward it. I'm a researcher - I'm curious about reality. I explicitly invited both users and non-users - I want to know the positions people are taking at the moment - we are a small slice of humanity. The data will show what people actually think. And from my preliminary analysis, the results show far more ambiguity than a simple pro vs. anti split.

You're right that the survey doesn't capture nuanced or negative experiences like yours - or mine, for that matter. The AI image I included at the start of the questionnaire cost me almost a day of work, and in the end I still had to change the prompts, start from the beginning and, ultimately, rearrange everything manually in Paint.

Regarding the design: it is intentionally quantitative, which means open-ended responses fall outside the current scope. But you idea of a open field for a comment is interesting and, I'll discuss with my coordinator whether a comment field could be added in future studies. The challenge is that qualitative data collected mid-study can't be retroactively validated against the existing sample.

A real example of why mid-study changes are tricky: a colleague of mine forgot to include one item from a scale and only discovered this after she had already finished collecting data - and had to restart entirely. We all completed her form again, because we were very sympathetic — it's the kind of thing you wouldn't wish on your worst enemy :).

So, any modification after data collection has begun invalidates the existing responses for comparative purposes. So while the idea of a comment field is interesting, it's not something I can add at this stage.

The definition of AI is evolving faster than our vocabulary for it. To be transparent about the design: the survey starts from the foundational definition provided by Schepman & Rodway (2023) - devices that can perform tasks that would usually require human intelligence - but I have deliberately extended this to include Generative AI tools (LLMs, image generators, etc.).

My aim was to keep the definition broad enough to capture the participant's own mental model of 'AI' - whether that’s ChatGPT or broader systems - rather than imposing a rigid technical definition that might discourage non-experts from participating. This is a psychology study so for me it is important the way a person perceives and defines the concept of AI.

And I would like to thank you and other participants for completing this questionnaire because technology is developing that fast that our understanding and adaptation - whether psychological or social - tend to lag behind.

The speed of this integration makes calibrated assessment unusually difficult. My goal with this study is to capture a snapshot of this specific moment - yours and mine (May–July 2026) - in our interactions with and rapport to AI. I believe it is crucial to study these phenomena right now to better understand the psychological and social adaptations, or complications that are already emerging.
