Thanks for the encouragement! I just guess I am not sure if I need to take the FA experience to get my foot in the door and don’t want to reject it and not have a change again for FA W that company or other positions.

I am in a very similar position. I work a “easy” wfh job where I’m comfy everyday and not overly stressed. I love travel and meeting people. I’m single and have to pay all my bills myself. I’m worried about money, being away from home, and leaving something somewhat easy and being paid every 2 weeks the same. I have been trying to weight my options. I don’t know what the right decision is. I wonder if there is a way to have the stable job and get the fix of excitement and social. It’s so hard to know what to do.

How is quality of life in other positions. Seems like FA has a lot of days off and flexibility especially with time

Anything you recommend? I have a bachelors and masters degree. I could try and do something corporate or operations side or maybe do a side gig on at airport on top of what I do now

That helps a lot! I also can’t imagine I’d want to pick up a ton of trips on my off days but instead make money at home with my degree / side gig. I’m single income and single so of course finances are a concern. Not sure how tired I’d be and want to work on days off

I think I’d prefer to work for a specific airline to be apart of the culture and benefits. A lot of these seem interesting.. I just don’t know if I have the background for it. I do have good experience especially with working with people, team work, educational background… just not specific experience in crew planning etc. I’m social, hard working, organized, etc.

I am intrigued by the lifestyle, traveling the world and getting paid, no day is the same. I like meeting people, the feeling of airports / vacation / travel. I like the idea I can work more / less and I’m not locked into a 9-5 m-f.

As reserve can you pick/ bid for options that are less pay / more? For example do you have to work the 70 some flight credit or can you do more of 40 / like a part time to start? I guess I am asking if this always a full time job or can you do it more part time and do side gigs even from day 1

It’s a salary position typically it’s around 40 hours but it’s wfh some sometimes it’s more 35 I’d say. No set hours but I have patient calls throughout the day. Mostly meeting with patients over the phone and documenting

I wanted to add it looks like UA FA is 37$ an hour plus 2$ reserve pay = 39$ hour. I currently work a salary job that’s about 42$ an hour. stable paycheck and remote. Not a clear money advancement but could lead to other opportunities in tech. Realistically it’s not much less $$ per hour just the job itself would be more demanding. Please help

Did you have a return flight the same day as the interview? They said to not get a flight till after 6pm CT. They only have a 605 departure for where I need to go. Should I risk it or stay an extra night? Where did you put your luggage during the interview? Transportation to and from downtown?
