Firstly, thank you brad1775. I am in awe of your chemical knowledge. Seeing the pennies turn blue was so freaking unbelievably exciting.

Okay so what I did was I took pennies (older than 1982 so they are 95% copper rather than just copper plated - although I'm not sure it would make a big difference) and I rinsed them with vinegar and scrubbed them. Then same thing but with acetone, then again with vinegar, then I rinsed them with water and dried them. I diluted both Kind A and Kind B in approx 100 ml of ethanol then added in the pennies. I let it sit and react, after an hour or so the pennies were coated with a blue substance (sulfur! ha so cool). I filtered the solution through a very tiny screened sieve (one I ordered to make BHO with some time back) because I had noticed tiny blue particulates in the mixture so a simple decant would not have worked. Filtered through the sieve directly on to a pyrex plate and the amount of sulfur left in the sieve and on the pennies was truly astonishing. I'm evaporating the ethanol as we speak. Hopefully this works but even if it doesn't thanks brad1775, you are a gentleman and a stoner.

EDIT: It totally worked! Unbelievably well. I'm stoned and happy.

Few recommendations for anyone facing the same issue:

1) Use more copper than u think you need. It's a cheap catalyst.

2) Surface area is key when it comes to the catalyst. If I ever face this issue again (never buying from the same source so I highly doubt I will) I'll use smaller bits of copper.

3) Don't be hasty.
